The Chrysler Family Welcomes New CEO, Christine Feuell To The Team – Miami Lakes Automall Chrysler
Welcome To The Team Christine!
Look out Chrysler family , because there’s a new head honcho in charge! The brand known for its award-winning Pacifica minivan is getting new leadership this month. Stellantis, which is the company that was created as a result of the merger with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Peugeot maker PSA Group this year in January, was revealed last Tuesday (September 6) that Christine Feuell will become CEO of the Chrysler brand, commencing immediately today.
Feuell has previously held positions at the multinational conglomerate company, Honeywell, as well as Ford Motors. It was at the former, where she performed as the chief commercial officer at Honeywell Safety and Productivity Solutions, as said by Stellantis in a press release. She is set to report to Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares.
“Christine heading Chrysler is great news for Stellantis, and I’m convinced that she will play an integral and strategic role in setting the new impetus and direction for this iconic brand and unleash its great potential,” Tavares said in the release.
As previously stated, in conjunction with her time at Honeywell, Feuell spent 14 years at Ford, with her last position being the director of global marketing strategy from 2008 to 2009, as stated from her LinkedIn profile. On top of this, she also held a position for four years at Adient, Johnson Controls.
The Stellantis company says that Feuell has accomplished progressive responsibilities in sales, marketing, product management, and profit and loss leadership at her previous companies, “with a strong track record of delivering profitable growth through integrated products, software and services. Her extensive expertise in building and developing advanced product, marketing and business model strategies will benefit the Chrysler brand to deliver customer-centric insights and innovative solutions.”
This selection of what the automaker believes to be a leader that is dedicated for the Chrysler brand just may be what is needed for its uncertain future. While Tavares has made a commitment to allow each of Stellantis’s brands to prove themselves for over a set period of time, Chrysler, which used to be a big name in the automotive world, has had hardly any product in the recent years. Specifically, the brand main selling point is the Pacifica minivan, with the 300 sedan hanging by a thread. While these cars are great, and the Pacifica is ranked highly in its segment, the exposure is still not the same as other brands of the parent company like Ram, Jeep, or Dodge.
Interestingly enough, Chrysler was previously the only brand among the 14 other brands of Stellantis, as well as the only North American brand (like Jeep, Dodge, and Ram) that didn’t have an elected leader after the merger between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV and the French company Groupe. Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Dodge took the role as an interim position.
The addition of Feuell to the team comes after Tavares announced earlier this year that each of the 14 brands will get funding by Stellantis for the next decade to prove their worth, particularly since there are a large number of brands within the company.
