The Chrysler Pacifica may have an all-new refresh on the way. According to Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell, the minivan will receive more than just a moderate refresh. While Feuell did not comment further, this is good news for the minivan as it last saw updates in 2021. As of late, Chrysler has been focused on EVs as it prepares for the release of its first all-electric vehicle. While rumors speculated as to whether Chrysler’s first EV would be a sedan or a crossover, the automaker confirmed that it would be a crossover EV. While this is great news for the automaker, it still leaves us unclear as to what changes the Pacifica will see. For now, we’ll take a look at the Chrysler Pacifica and see what consumers can expect from a new refresh.

Chrysler Pacifica Refresh Confirmed

The Chrysler Pacifica may have a significant refresh on the way. Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell recently commented stating that the minivan would receive more than just a moderate refresh. This is good news for the Pacifica as the last update it saw was a new facelift. While this did wonders for the Pacifica’s styling, that update was several years ago. Feuell did not comment further on the Chrysler Pacifica however so the changes consumers can expect to see remain a mystery. Feuell did state that the automaker projects minivans will remain popular through the end of the decade, so this bodes well for the Pacifica’s longevity.

Given Chrysler’s focus on EVs, it is not unlikely that we may see an all-electric version of the Pacifica. There is already a hybrid version of the minivan that equips it with two electric motors for a total output of 260 horsepower. This paired with all-wheel drive provides the minivan with good range and handling. Were Chrysler to offer a fully electric Pacifica however, it would have to follow the automaker’s all-new EV. The timeline is not set in stone but Chrysler’s first EV would likely arrive in 2025. This means an all-electric Pacifica would come soon after.

Whatever Chrysler decides, consumers are sure to appreciate the refreshed Pacifica. Currently, the iconic minivan starts at an MSRP of $39,090 (plus destination fee). New safety features ensure the Pacifica continues to be a reliable and highly capable family minivan. While the minivan has little room for improvement, a refresh is warranted. Performance upgrades or even completely electrifying the Pacifica would add a new panache that could keep the minivan competitive for years to come. For now, we’ll be staying tuned for more information.
