Equipped with dual motors, the Sienna delivers 245 horsepower using a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine. This performance doesn’t measure up to the Pacifica, but the Sienna does offer all-wheel drive to make up for it. The Sienna makes up for its lack of performance in other ways such as its interior.

In terms of an interior cabin, the 2023 Toyota Sienna sports a modern and stylish design. A new tall center console elevates the minivan’s aesthetic, however, plastic materials detract from it. For space, the Sienna offers seating for 8 (7 with captain chairs), with several storage cubbies placed thoughtfully throughout the cabin. For cargo space, the Sienna sees 101 cubic feet with the second row folded. Here’s where the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica shines yet again. The Pacifica offers owners a total storage capacity of 140 cubic feet with the second row folded. There is also space for 8 (7 with captain chairs). Admittedly, the Sienna does offer a slightly nicer interior in its base trim, but the Pacifica proves to be the tougher competitor with its superior cabin space. 

Verdict

While both the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica and the 2023 Toyota Sienna prove to be reliable and capable minivans, the Pacifica proves to be the better choice. The Chrysler Pacifica starts at an MSRP of $39,615 (plus destination fee), while the Toyota Sienna starts at an MSRP of $38,280 (plus destination fee). Despite the difference in MSRP, the Pacifica comes on top with its spacious cabin and superior performance. Both minivans offer enhanced safety and driver assist features, but the Pacifica equips its base trim with more amenities like a larger infotainment system and an optional vacuum cleaner. Overall, the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica takes the prize as the better minivan.
