2023 Chrysler Pacifica Earns Top ‘Good’ Rating In IIHS Test

The 2023 Chrysler Pacifica recently earned a top rating in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) latest crash safety test. 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Earns Highest Safety Rating

The 2023 Chrysler Pacifica recently earned a top safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The IIHS serves as an independent nonprofit organization that aims to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage from motor vehicles. For 2023, the IIHS raised its evaluation standards to include a stricter side impact crash test, a more extensive automatic emergency braking test, and new headlight requirements. Vehicles like the Chrysler Pacifica had to undergo real-world scenarios to determine their reliability and safety. Throughout it all, advanced safety features earned the minivan a ‘Good’ safety rating, the highest score possible.  

The 2023 Chrysler Pacifica was put through several inspections and tests, including a driver-side impact test and a passenger-side impact test. There was also a moderate overlap front impact test. Thanks to safety features like automatic emergency braking, the Pacifica had no trouble scoring well in the IIHS’s tests. Owners will be happy to know that other safety features like forward-collision warnings, lane departure warnings, and a blind spot monitoring system help ensure they are safe on the road.  

Along with safety, the 2023 Pacifica serves as a spacious minivan with surprisingly good performance.
