2025 Chevy Silverado HD Features New Updates
The 2025 Chevy Silverado HD is a heavy-duty pickup truck with a lot to offer. Brand-new styling gives the Silverado HD a bold new look that separates it from the competition. The pickup truck features a new grille and new C-shaped LED lighting signatures. There are also new wheel options like with the new High Country Midnight Edition trim. Speaking of trims, the ZR2 is an off-road trim dedicated to off-road capability. It equips the pickup with a 1.5-inch suspension boost, revised bumpers, 35-inch tires, and front and rear locking differentials. One of the latest trims for the Silverado HD is the Trail Boss. This trim ups the ante improving upon the ZR2 with new shocks and suspension. There are also new skid plates and on-road/off-road tires.
For performance, the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD features two engine options: the standard 6.6L V8 engine and a Duramax diesel 6.6L V8. The standard V8 delivers 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque while the Duramax diesel delivers 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission and either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive can be selected. For towing capacity, the Silverado HD sees up to 36,000 pounds with the Duramax and 19,000 with the standard engine.Â
Inside the Silverado HD, owners will find a stylish dashboard design with prominent displays. There’s the option for a regular cab, double cab, or crew cab. A 13.4-inch display serves as the infotainment screen and it’s compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This display also provides drivers with up to 14 angles ensuring they remain safe and alert. There’s a hitch view, an HD surround view, a rear camera mirror, a front camera view, and even a transparent trailer view. With so many variations, towing and hauling are made easy. The heavy-duty truck also offers a host of safety features including trailer side blind zone alerts, forward collision alerts, and automatic emergency braking. At a starting MSRP of $43,400 (plus destination fee), the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD proves to be a highly capable and versatile pickup truck.Â
