Miami Lakes Auto Mall Brand Sales June 2016
* Miami Lakes Automall sells new cars for seven different brands (Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep, Kia, and Mitsubishi) and as reported by each manufacturer, each of these seven brands had positive monthly sales reports in the U.S. in June 2016. *
Chevrolet
Chevrolet had a pretty impressive month regarding sales. Chevy experienced a 3% overall increase in brand sales,which was Chevy’s best June sales since 2006. Some of the month’s sales report highlights include: a 96% sales increase for the Spark; a 77% increase in sales for the Impala, and a 57% increase for the Volt.
Chrysler
Thanks to the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, Chrysler experienced a growth in sales for June 2016. In total, 7,207 Pacifica units were sold, making it the second highest selling Chrysler vehicle in June 2016, not bad for a car that has only been available for a couple months. The Pacifica has been voted the Number 1 minivan by various organizations and publications, so sales are likely to keep growing.
Dodge
The Dodge brand had a 3% increase in sales this past month. The Dodge vehicles with the best numbers are Dodge’s minivan, the Dodge Grand Caravan, and one of Dodge’s SUVs, the Dodge Durango. June 2016 sales for the Grand Carvan were up a whopping 79% in the month of June, and Durango sales were up 38%.
Ram
The Ram truck brand had its best June sales in 10 years, and Ram pickup trucks had the best June sales in 14 years. Total June sales for Ram were up 14% in comparison to the month sales from a year before. And the Ram ProMaster van had its best sales month yet.
Jeep
The Jeep brand had another fantastic month as sales in June 2016 were up 17% from sales in June 2015, and it was the best-selling Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) brand in June 2016. Four vehicles in the Jeep lineup, the Wrangler, Compass, Patriot and Renegade, are responsible for the high sales growth percentage. Each of the four models had their best June sales in Jeep history. In addition to those four vehicles, the Jeep Grand Cherokee also had an impressive month of a 9% increase in sales between June 2015 and 2016.
Kia
June 2016 was a fantastic month for Kia. Not only was Kia recognized as the best brand in initial quality by J.D. Powers, but Kia also broke some big sales records as well. As the month came to an end, Kia recorded the best-ever first half year sales in history totaling up to sales of more than 328,000 vehicles. In June alone, 62,572 Kia vehicles were sold, which is a 15.6% increase from sales in June 2015.
Mitsubishi
Mitsubishi also experienced sales growth of both the Outlander and Outlander Sport in their year-to-year June comparison. June 2016 sales for the Outlander were up 86% from June 2015. The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will be coming to Miami Lakes Automall later this year, and in the U.K. the vehicle has been selling like hotcakes, so maybe it will in the U.S., too.
