Electric Chevy Silverado to Feature Huge Infotainment Screen – Miami Lakes Automall Chevrolet

October 22nd, 2021 by

The all-new all-electric Chevy Silverado has been receiving a lot of attention lately. The fully electric pickup truck has been getting teased more and more as it nears its full debut. General Motors will unveil the full-sized electric pickup at the Consumer Electronics Show on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022. Many automakers have been focusing on producing electric vehicles as the global climate crisis persists. General Motors is no stranger as its electric Silverado has caused many to increase their faith in the potential of electric vehicles. Automakers like Ford have been cautious in releasing electric vehicles that appear normal and conventional, something they have found much success in doing. GM has followed this pattern. The Chevy Silverado is a powerful, durable, and capable pickup truck. By turning it electric, GM continues to appeal to pickup fans. It also helps appeal to a greater number of consumers. Now with the new Silverado’s debut nearing, GM has released several teaser images that show some features of the full-sized electric pickup. One of these features is a fixed-glass roof which appears to offer more visibility. Another feature seen is a rather large infotainment screen. We’ll need to wait for more information, but we’ll dive into these new features.

Teaser Images Show Electric Silverado Infotainment Screen

The all-electric Chevy Silverado has been shown to feature a fixed-glass roof as well as a larger infotainment screen. The full-sized pickup will benefit from the increased visibility, headroom, and overall sense of space from the roof. These details come from a teaser image that was released alongside information about the CES show in 2022. The slow drip of details certainly helps build excitement and hype. Another feature seen in the electric Chevy Silverado is the addition of a new infotainment screen.

From the teaser image, the all-new electric Chevy Silverado’s infotainment screen looks to extend towards the driver. The screen appears to be horizontally oriented with a wide curved surface. Since it’s so wide, this infotainment screen could potentially contain both the system display as well as the driver instrument panel. This would be a similar layout used in the fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade.

In addition to the screen and roof, another feature expected to accompany the electric Silverado is a four-wheel steering system. This would enable the pickup to turn all four wheels at the same time, thus improving agility. It would also tighten the turning radius at lower speeds. Meanwhile, at higher speeds, this would greatly improve handling and stability. The four-wheel system would also improve the pickup’s trailering dynamics. From what’s been seen so far, the electric Chevy Silverado looks to be very promising as an electric pickup. New features and capabilities look to accompany the truck which will better enhance the driving experience. We’ll be waiting expectantly for GM and the debut of the electric Silverado at the CES show at the beginning of 2022.
