2020 has not been the year for car sales that anyone would have predicted. However, the landscape of automobile transactions shows a clear cut winning so far through two quarters and Chevrolet is on top. A recent study by the folks at iSeeCars.com has shown the average amount of days a car sits before being sold after sitting around 96.9 days, as the data collected from March 2020 through June 2020 showed. The average was far less before the Coronavirus broke out. The same length of time would only last around 57.8 days back when it was measured from November 2019 to February 2020.

“The effective demand for these vehicles has slowed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic due to lockdowns and downturns in the economy, but the change was much more dramatic for new vehicles than for used vehicles,” added iSeeCars CEO Phong Ly.

A Closer Look At the Numbers

The sales number represents around 9 million new and used cars sold from November 2019 through June 2020. On the list of the ten fastest-selling cars in the U.S. during that period, with the exception of pickups, Chevrolet landed two vehicles on the list. The 7th and top spot belong to the Chevrolet Bolt EV and the Trailblazer.

The Chevrolet Bolt EV clearly stands out as its only the non-SUV and the lone fully electric vehicle on the list. The list, according to iSeeCars, has the Chevrolet Bolt EV selling in just over a month at 41.7 days as the average length of time before a purchase is made. Compared to the Chevrolet Trailblazer, the customers flock to the popular Chevy SUV with the average only being 19 days before it is off the lot.

Chevrolet Has the Top Selling Vehicle In the U.S. Today

Today, the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer reached its fast-selling rate in the United States market due to its affordable price at under $20,000 MSRP. Today, customers can drive the new 2021 Trailblazer and it’s five-trims starting at $19,995 MSRP (Plus destination fee) for the base L trim. The LS, LT, Activ, and RS trims follow. All-wheel-drive is optional for owners on all trims except the base L trim. The mid-size SUV is spacious and offers customers plenty of technology and solid fuel economy at an EPA estimated 29 mpg.

“The ISeeCars study validates all of our research to bring the Trailblazer to market with the right design, the right features, the right performance, at the right price. Early sales are exceeding our expectations, led by the RS trim, which has doubled our forecast. We are very pleased with the consumer reaction to the all-new Trailblazer,” said Brad Franz, senior marketing manager, Chevrolet SUVs.
