Chevrolet showcased one of its off-road concepts at the 2021 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Named the Beast, this four-door pickup looked mighty and rugged. It’s based on the Chevy Silverado but it comes in much more powerful and capable than the average pickup. Equipped with a V8 engine that’s capable of 650 horsepower, Chevy’s new Beast is sure to pose a threat to the competition. This concept pickup utilizes the same engine as the Corvette so you know it’s got some great specs. We’ll dive deeper into the concept vehicle and see what Chevy’s got in store for those looking for one beast of a pickup.

Chevy Debuts Beast Off-Road Concept

Chevrolet recently debuted its Beast off-road concept pickup at the 2021 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The domineering pickup looked quite impressive with its 37-inch mud-terrain tires. Mounted inside of these huge tires were 20-inch beadlock wheels. As for the engine, the Beast pickup utilizes a supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8 engine that’s capable of 650 horsepower. The engine comes paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system with a two-speed transfer case. This concept pickup also comes equipped with Brembo brakes.

The Beast pickup is based on the Chevy Silverado . It is a four-door truck with two spare tires in the bed. The concept pickup stands tall and empowered with its 126.9-inch wheelbase and 13.5 inches of ground clearance. The pickup is almost an oversized version of the Silverado as it comes in almost 10 inches wider than the standard Silverado. For this feat, the name Beast is quite appropriate. In addition to its large stature, the concept pickup comes equipped with LED lights, skid plates, and an off-road suspension setup. Control arms come installed in the front along with adjustable dampers with external reservoirs. At the back of the vehicle is a live axle.

Riding inside this beast of a pickup, drivers will note two 7-inch LCD screen monitors. These provide real-time performance data about the pickup like pitch and roll. For safety, drivers can buckle themselves in with a four-point harness while sitting in the Recaro performance seats. Chevy really went all out with this concept pickup. Its large exterior makes it reminiscent of a video game and perhaps that’s where the inspiration came from. Drivers will certainly feel like the main character as they traverse the toughest of terrains. We’ll have to wait for more information but for the ultimate off-road enthusiast, the Chevy Beast looks unchallenged.
