The growing anticipation for the upcoming 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is hitting a fever pitch. The latest news for the upcoming “C8” has been focused on the imminent start of production. For the masses, the Chevy Corvette will begin to start its roll out soon enough. The first production 2020 Corvette has been made and already sold for a robust $3 million cost to Rick Hendrick, dubbed the King of Corvettes. He claims he won’t ever drive the vehicle. However, the biggest news has come in the form of fuel efficiency.

Better Than the Previous Generation Corvette

The upcoming mid-engine car has recently learned the final highway mpg rating at a remarkable 27 highway mpg. This rating is better than both the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S and the previous generation, the “C7”. The previous Corvette was rated at 25 highway mpg. The reason owners aim to drive a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is to drive at fast speeds. Customers will love knowing the C8 Stingray can launch from zero to 60 mph in only 2.8 seconds with a maximum speed of 184 mph. But production is still yet to start (for now).

Production Is Ready To Ramp Up

The new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette will begin rolling off the assembly line next month after experiencing delays. The current orders are frozen, so customers looking for the 2020 Corvette will have to wait. Custom orders that have come in include widespread similarities like the battery protection package and the Z51 package with MagneRide. For an additional $5,000, buyers get a revamped suspension, performance exhaust, greater engine cooling, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, and more power. MagneRide is a $1,895 upcharge.

More On the 2020 Corvette

The base trim of the 2020 Corvette utilizes a 6.2-Liter LT2 V8 producing 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Buyers receive solid power from even the base trim, but many customers have decided on gaining the Z51 pack that bounces those numbers to 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. As of January 2020, the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is hard to find for purchase, but that will soon change.

The 2020 Corvette has a starting price of $59,995 MSRP (Plus destination fee), while the popular 3LT trim that starts at $72,000 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and adds some excellent touches like extra carbon fiber bits, GT2 seating, microfiber inserts throughout the interior, to name a few extra goodies.
