Did you hear about the Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE yet? It was tested out at the Nürburgring Nordschleife track in Germany and it beat out some of the most coveted sports cars.

Just to put how fast the ZLE 1LE is into perspective, it finished the famous 12.9-miles Nürburgring Nordschleife track in 7:16.04 seconds, meaning the Camaro ZL1 1LE had a faster time than the Corvette ZR1, Ferrari 488 GTB and BMW M4 GTS and a few others. Wow! Very impressive, right?

What makes the Camaro ZL1 1LE faster than other Camaros and high-end other sportscars is the 1LE track package. Like the Camaro ZL1, the Camaro ZL1 1LE is equipped with a 650-horsepower 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine, but it has exterior equipment that makes it a true beast on the rack. Besides the crazy powerful engine, the Camaro ZL1 1LE comes with performance parts including:

* A fully adjustable set of Multimatic DSSV dampers.
* A huge front splitter, dive planes, and a carbon fiber rear wing for increased performance.
  • Alloy wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R rubber tires.
  • A standard Tremex MH3 six-speed manual transmission.
  • 75 pounds less in weight than other Camaro models resulting in faster performance.
  • Front engine with RWD.
  • Brembo brakes, of course.

Despite the Camaro ZL1 1LE’s amazing performance, it is not an extremely expensive sportscar, especially in comparison to some of the competitors. The Camaro ZL1 1LE has a starting MSRP of $69,995, which is just a fraction of the Ferrari 488 GTB ($245,000) and the BMW M4 GTS ($133,000).
