The 2024 Ram 1500 lineup has been detailed following the introduction of the TRX Final Edition in August of this year (2023). Part of the announcement highlighting the updates for the 2024 model year 1500 pickup truck includes the continuation of the Warlock package on the Tradesman iteration. Stellantis is bringing back the Warlock package on the Ram 1500 Tradesman for 2024. Introduced in 2019 as a package for the Ram 1500 Classic, the company presented it to the sixth-generation 1500 in 2023. Now, it will return again as an inexpensive off-road truck, incorporating much-needed mechanical upgrades without the cumbersome price tag that often accompanies trims like the F-150 Tremor.

The Available Amenities

Based on the affordable Tradesman derivative, the Warlock package integrates underbody skid plates to protect the powertrain, an electronic rear-locking differential, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, Bilstein front and rear shock absorbers, a one-inch lift, and much more, including an abundance of technological features and unique styling. In the 2022 model year, the Warlock package added only $2,995 to the Tradesman trim’s MSRP (Plus destination fee), but the package’s 2024 pricing has not yet been confirmed.

Further Aspects of the Warlock Package

Additional features of the 2023 Warlock package incorporated Warlock decals, blacked-out trim and badging, a seven-inch display cluster unit, an 8.4-inch touchscreen compatible with the Uconnect 5 system, Selec-Speed Control, and Apple CarPlay. Enthusiasts speculate these options, and more will return in 2024, even though the brand has not released the full list just yet.

It is worth noting that opting for the Warlock adds the Tradesman Level 1 Equipment Group as well, which includes a cloth bench seat, a power sliding rear window, carpet floor covering, Sirius XM, and front and rear floor mats. Moreover, if a driver yearns for more power with their Tradesman Warlock, the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine also comes in at a $2,995 option.

Passing the Torch

The continuation of the Warlock package is a small part of all the massive alterations the automaker has in store for 2024. Suitably, in a type of switching of the guards, the company will introduce the all-electric Ram 1500 REV in the same year the emblematic Ram 1500 TRX will go extinct. The manufacturer recently confirmed the news, claiming production of the V-8-powered super pickup will cease at the end of this year (2023), with the 2024 trims being the last to roll off the line.

Many enthusiasts have had an enduring affection for the large pickup truck since its debut, but the news is unsurprising given its other Hellcat-powered siblings are being sent out to pasture by the end of the 2023 model year as well. Luckily, however, this means several special editions have been announced to help ease the transition, and at the very least, the Tradesman Warlock will continue to keep sonorous pickup trucks alive and well.
