The Ram 1500 REV is built on the STLA Frame architecture, a purpose-built evolution of the current Ram DT architecture. Its wider midsection efficiently houses the battery pack while providing crucial protection from the frame rails. The brand will offer consumers two battery pack options. 

The standard 168-kilowatt-hour battery pack promises an impressive range of up to 350 miles, setting a new benchmark for electric pickup trucks. An optional 229-kilowatt-hour large battery pack is available for those seeking an even greater range, targeting an unparalleled 500 miles. Even more notable is the “800-volt architecture of this new truck, which should allow it to add 100 miles of range for every ten minutes it is plugged into a DC fast charger.” This method ensures convenient, swift, and hassle-free recharging.

Charging Capabilities Thanks to Enhanced Technology

The 1500 REV boasts vehicle-to-home, vehicle-to-vehicle, and vehicle-grid bi-directional charging capabilities. For example, it can electrify tailgate parties, power a home during outages, or provide energy at job sites. An onboard power panel in the bed generates up to 7.2 kilowatts, while an available power panel in the massive frunk produces up to 3.6 kilowatts. 

One of the standout features of the Ram 1500 REV is its incorporation of advanced technology. As such, dual 250-kilowatt electric drive modules combine the gearbox and motor to deliver all-wheel-drive capability. Moreover, the front axle features a 250-kilowatt electric drive module with an automatic wheel-end disconnect for enhanced efficiency, while the rear axle boasts a 250-kilowatt electric drive module with an electronic-locking rear differential.

The Ram 1500 REV also presents a multi-link independent rear suspension complemented by a standard, segment-exclusive, active-level, four-corner air suspension with adaptive damping. To clarify, this adjustable air suspension ensures owners can easily handle the drive on any road surface but also when heading out on the trails for some fun. The air suspension settings come in five distinct modes:

• Entry/Exit
• Aero
• Normal
• Off-Road 1
• Off-Road 2

The 2025 Ram 1500 REV does not simply provide an impressive range; it also packs a serious punch in terms of performance and power. With a zero to 60 mile per-hour time of 4.4 seconds, 654 horsepower, and a staggering 620 pound-feet of torque, this electric marvel rivals its gas-powered counterparts. Whether fording up to 24 inches of water or towing up to 14,000 pounds, the 1500 REV demonstrates that electric power can be just as robust as traditional engines.
