Here’s Where the Ram 1500 Really Shines

June 18th, 2021 by

The 2021 Ram 1500 more than holds its own against its competitors when outshining the competitive full-size pickup segment. Not only is the Ram 1500 an impressive pickup, but it’s also far more modern than the rest — both inside and out. The biggest news about the 2021 Ram 1500 lineup includes the all-new Ram 1500 TRX powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with a whopping 702 horsepower. Designed as a competent off-roader, the Ram 1500 TRX is equipped with a sturdy off-road chassis and suspension, but when it comes to the interior cabin, every single Ram 1500 trim hits it out of the park.

Ram Truck offers the 2021 Ram 1500 in ten different trims: Tradesman, HFE (High Fuel Economy), Big Horn, Lone Star, Rebel, Laramie, Longhorn, Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition, Limited, and TRX. Additionally, Ram also offers a limited-edition Ram 1500 lineup that honors the five branches of the American Armed Forces — the “Built to Serve” edition. The 2021 Ram 1500 has a stellar interior, no matter the trim, with cabins that far surpass most competitors. Premium materials, an aesthetically pleasing design, and overall functionality take precedence and leave these pickups feeling more and more like luxury vehicles.

Cargo Room

Depending on cab style, the 2021 Ram 1500 comes with either a 6-foot-4-inch truck bed, a 5-foot-7-inch one, or even an 8-foot bed if necessary. The Ram 1500 TRX is available with the 5-foot-7-inch truck bed only. Plenty of features enhance the usability of the bed, such as cargo lights, RamBox built-in storage bins, and a tailgate step as well. Ram also offers an available 60/40-split multifunction tailgate that swings down and can open outward like a set of barn doors.

On the inside, buyers can opt for organizational RamBins housed underneath the cargo floor in the back seat, along with an available center console with lots of room. All rear bench seats on the Ram 1500 are foldable and reveal a flat floor underneath.

Seating

With seating for up to six passengers, the Ram 1500 comes with a foldable rear bench and is clad in synthetic leather and cloth upholstery. Amenities such as genuine leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front/rear seats, eight-way power-adjustable front seats, and a heated steering wheel are all available. Regardless of configuration, the front seats of the Ram 1500 are spacious, supportive, and comfortable. Visibility is also a plus from the Ram 1500’s cabin. Crew cab configurations stand out and have the most spacious seats in their class, quickly outpacing their counterparts. Additionally, the 2021 Ram 1500 also has large doors that make it easy to get in and out of the cab.

Interior

Buyers can count on standard features such as push-to-start, a rearview camera, USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, a 5-inch digital touchscreen display, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a six-speaker stereo. Available upgrades on the Ram 1500 include a sunroof, three premium audio systems, satellite radio, navigation, HD radio, dual-zone climate control, additional USB charging ports, wireless device charging capabilities, Apple CarPlay, Google Android Auto, and an 8.4-inch or 12-inch touchscreen display.

Ram Trucks feature one of the best infotainment systems in the business — Uconnect. Menu layouts on the Uconnect system are intuitive and easy to navigate, not to mention the touch screen itself is responsive. Owners even have the option to customize the screen layout by using shortcuts for the frequently used options. Additionally, the 12-inch available touchscreen we mentioned earlier is one of the largest in its class.
