2022 Ram ProMaster Van Receives New Transmission and Technology – Miami Lakes Automall Ram
Ram is bringing music to fans around the country with the return of the Ram BandVan. Ram first launched its BandVan program back in 2018 as a way to help up-and-coming artists and bands by supplying them with a ProMaster van. The automaker partnered with SiriusXM and Pandora to give fans an opportunity to hear their favorite bands live as they toured in the full-sized van. The Back to Live Tour will be launching with the Foo Fighters heading the first act. They will be traveling inside the 2022 Ram ProMaster Van which Ram has recently updated. The van features a new transmission and updated technology and safety features. Artists will be able to enjoy the comfortable and tuned-up BandVan as they travel the country touring.
New Technology Inside the ProMaster Van
The 2022 Ram ProMaster Van has gotten a new interior upgrade. Ram has updated the transmission, infotainment system, and safety features. Each van is powered by a transverse-mounted 3.6L V6 engine capable of 280 horsepower and 260lb-ft of torque. The addition of a new nine-speed automatic transmission has allowed the front wheels to be utilized more. ** Ram has stated that this new automatic transmission will help improve fuel efficiency and deliver smoother gear changes.
Aside from the transmission, Ram has upgraded the interior cabin of the 2022 ProMaster Van. The van’s center stack has been redesigned with a new 7.0-inch touchscreen. An optional 10-inch touchscreen is also available. The touchscreen systems feature Uconnect5 software which enables over-the-air updates. It also enables wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as Amazon Alexa voice assist. Additional upgrades include more charging ports, two USB and USB Type-C ports, and a 115-volt outlet. The 2022 Ram ProMaster Van also includes a revised center stack that features HVAC controls that replace older rotary knobs. A new panel of switches replaces hazard lights, traction control, and more. The steering wheel comes with more controls and the driver has a more modern instrument panel.
The last change to the 2022 ProMaster Van is a multitude of driver and safety assist technologies. The previous year’s model introduced new active safety features like automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring. Now, the full-sized van has a 360-degree camera, automatic high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise control, front parking sensors, and lane-keeping assist. Bands and artists can rest easy knowing they’re safe on the road in the Ram BandVan. Ram hasn’t announced pricing for the 2022 ProMaster Van yet, but prices aren’t likely to be too much higher from previous years. The full-sized commercial van will go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2021.
