Producer Stellantis has recently announced that its popular Ram 1500 lineup is getting two new powerful additions. Aiming for a combination of performance and luxury, Stellantis will be offering the 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T as two new performance-oriented trims.
With so many companies offering new upgrades and special edition vehicles, those seeking to improve their lineup have to go all out. Stellantis certainly understood this as they aimed for the best when making upgrades to the Ram 1500 Laramie and Rebel. Coming with a cold-end exhaust and cold-air intake system, these powerful new trims will feature a 5.7L Hemi V8 engine with eTorque and mild-hybrid assist.
Along with high performance, the 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T will focus on bringing luxury to consumers. These new pickups will receive sport performance hoods and unique G/T exterior graphics. On their vision for these new trucks, Ram CEO Mike Koval Jr. says:
“Ram has a strong history of performance trucks, and the Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T models add to that while expanding the light-duty lineup with the segment’s best combination of performance, capability, luxury, and technology,” said Mike Koval Jr., Ram brand chief executive officer-Stellantis. “Ram 1500 G/T buyers will enjoy this combination of performance and luxury that the newest additions to our versatile lineup offer.”
Interior of the 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T
The interior of the 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie and Rebel G/T pickups will feature updates similar to those found on TRX models. Looking inside, consumers will notice an emphasis on comfort with G/T specific designs such as bucket seats with high bolsters. A unique G/T logo can also be found on the stitching. Additional features include a metal pedal kit, steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, and a console-mounted performance shift. Another special treat offered inside these new pickups is the addition of performance pages. Ram is connecting these performance pages to the G/T’s Uconnect system. This will allow drivers to view information such as engine performance, 0-60 times, and G-forces.
The luxury look is completed inside the 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T with all-weather floor mats from Mopar. As far as technology and infotainment go, the Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T will most likely offer the latest additions and improvements available to Ram. Also available is the addition of a Crew Cab configuration. This means up to 5 people can comfortably sit inside these luxury pickups.
The 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie G/T will come with a starting price of $55,480 MSRP (plus destination fee). The Rebel G/T will start at $55,375 MSRP (plus destination fee). These new pickups will offer the best in performance and luxury. Given the new features and upgrades, both the 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T are good options for those needing a work vehicle that doubles as a family car.
