Mitsubishi Offers More Advanced Safety Features on the Outlander SUV
Mitsubishi Motors may be known for mostly SUVS in America but that’s about to change. Ever since the automaker launched its “Momentum 2030” business plan, a lot new concepts were popping up for North America. Additionally, Mitsubishi and Nissan are working on a pickup truck for the U.S. Until then, the automaker will continue to buff up its current lineup, like its constant bread-winner, the Outlander SUV. Before we get the 2025 model, Mitsubishi wants to celebrate its current sales records for the Outlander and attests the upsurge to its new available safety features and driver-assistance systems.
“Every Mitsubishi Motors vehicle is designed to protect occupants, pedestrians and other traffic to the best of its ability…The 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander is a showcase for the brand’s capabilities, with owners benefiting from a host of advanced driver assistance systems. Whether standard systems like front and rear automatic emergency braking, or optional systems like our motorsport-proven Super-All Wheel Control system, Mitsubishi Motors has your back.” – Mark Chaffin, MMNA president and CEO
On the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander SUV, consumers can find all sorts of standard and available advanced safety features. Advanced safety features that can be found across the lineup include blind spot warning with lane change assist, driver attention alert, forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. Some of the available advanced safety features popping up in recent years are adaptive cruise control; front parking sensors, and lane departure warning start. This isn’t all Mitsubishi Motors is introducing to its lineup, though. Select models come with a Multiview Camera system, and more models are introducing Traffic Sign Recognition to help the driver keep within the appropriate speed limit and MI-PILOT Assist, Mitsubishi’s most advanced driver assistance system to date.
Mi-PILOT Assist does it all. Through the use of cameras and radar, MI-PILOT controls acceleration, braking, and steering. This includes controlling some of the aforementioned safety features, such as the integration of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), and Traffic Sign Recognition to help the driver to maintain appropriate speed, following distance, and keep the vehicle centered in their lane. Especially helpful for driving on the highway, MI-PILOT Assist is the perfect advanced safety feature for long drive commutes and new teen drivers.
Mitsubishi Motors is also keeping up with technology to entertain consumers. While we wait for the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance and Google partnership to pay off, the Outlander still offers an 8-inch smartphone-link display (SDA), capable of AM/FM radio, Apple CarPlay, Google Android Auto, Bluetooth Wireless Technology standard. On higher tier trims, that changes to a 9-inch screen SDA with HD Radio, and Wireless Apple CarPlay. For the ultimate sound system, consumers can opt-in for a Bose 10-speaker premium sound system on select trims. And let’s not forget about the amazing car warranties Mitsubishi Motors offers. All Mitsubishi vehicles are covered by a basic limited warranty for 5 years/60,000 miles, a powertrain limited warranty for 10 years/100,000 miles, 7 years or 100,000 miles of anti-corrosion coverage, and roadside assistance.
