Mitsubishi Motors Announces 2024 North America Lineup
Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) just announced the details for its 2024 lineup. With notable differences made for each model in the automaker’s lineup, a new maintenance plan has also been introduced for all 2024 model year vehicles. Committed to deliver high quality, top value, and leading-edge technology vehicles in the U.S., MMNA is building on its industry-leading warranty program to care for its consumers as well as provide them with top-quality vehicles. Check out the highlights for 2024 Mitsubishi models.
2024 Outlander Plug-in Hybrid
Also known as the Outlander PHEV, the plug-in hybrid SUV is currently the flagship of the brand. The only plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) Mitsubishi currently has in the lineup. With the announcement of the 2023 Mitsubishi Colt, the lineup is growing, with the automaker leaning more towards battery-electric vehicle (BEV) technology for future models. The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is powered by a 2.4 liter inline-four-cylinder engine optimized with a Mitsubishi Motors MIVEC timing system and a 20 kwH lithium-ion battery powering a twin motor system. With a miles-per-gallon equivalent (MPGe) rating of 64, with a combined 26 mpg if only using the gasoline engine, this plug-in hybrid SUV can provide an all-electric range (AER) of 38 miles, with a range of 420 miles in total. An all-new Platinum Edition comes with a special Black Diamond paint with an Alloy Silver roof color combination for the 2024 Outlander Plug-in Hybrid. Available based on either the SE or SEL trim, the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will also feature an all-new blacked out appearance package with semi-aniline premium leather-appointed seating surfaces, a black dynamic shield, black chrome window trim, and black roof rails.
2024 Outlander
The vehicle that started the revolution for Mitsubishi in 2022, the next-generation of the Mitsubishi Outlander was an award-winner, and broke the records for sales in a long time. In 2022, Mitsubishi added a new two-tone option of the SEL Black Edition. For the new year, the automaker is going for a more blacked-out appearance, and the Outlander will also get a Black Edition added to the lineup, mirrors the same updates as described in Outlander Plug-in Hybrid. Also expanding the lineup is a Platinum Edition, sporting a special Black Diamond paint with Alloy Silver roof color combination, a satin hood emblem, silver gauge trim, a Light Grey interior, and more.
2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
Built off of the original Outlander model, the Outlander Sport is longer and offers more space and style. One of the MMNA’s best-selling models, the adventurous spirit continues in this SUV. A new special Trail Edition was added to the 2024 Outlander Sport model, featuring black hood graphics, TRAIL front and rear effects, black side and fender moldings, black hood protector and tailgate trim, black inner door handle protectors, mud flaps, and all-weather floor mats.
2024 Eclipse Cross
The first model to bring back a classic sports car name, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross had some backlash at first, but the sales speak for themselves. Selling more than the Outlander PHEV for years, the Eclipse Cross is set for a PHEV model to overtake the title of Mitsubishi Motors flagship vehicle. Until then, this sport SUV is built for various lifestyles. Introducing a new hands-free electronic tailgate with kick-motion sensor to the 2024 model, and many new options are added. Adaptive Cruise Control, a rear USBE now features Mitsubishi Connect with a two-year trial and FAST-Key entry system; and a Special Edition features more rugged off-road-inspired styling enhancements for those whole seek a little adventure. Every trim is outfitted with Mitsubishi Motors’ signature motorsport-derived S-AWC all-wheel drive system, regardless.
2024 Mirage and Mirage G4
Still known as America’s most fuel-efficient non-hybrid, gasoline-fueled vehicle, the Mitsubishi Mirage offers the consumer plenty of value. Compact, but a hatchback, the Mirage also provides plenty of storage. For those looking for something slimmer, the Mirage G4 also offers a great fuel economy. In 2024, both models will come with new standard features, including a driver seat armrest, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers. Paint colors Mercury Gray and Mystic Black are being replaced by Graphite Gray and Jet Black.
Maintenance and Warranty
Mitsubishi Motors already offers one of the best plans in the industry. The brand’s 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. A five-year/60,000-mile limited warranty, and seven-year/100,000-mile corrosion/perforation warranty are all standard on every model. The warranty also includes a five-year/unlimited-mile roadside assistance plan and a 2-year/30,000-mile maintenance program. Adding onto this for 2024, MMNA is providing two years of limited maintenance on every 2024 Mitsubishi Motors vehicle sold in America. That includes three oil and filter changes, three tire rotations, and one cabin air filter replacement during the two-year/30,000-mile lifespan.
