Miami Lakes Automall Affordable Vehicles

When it comes to shopping for a vehicle, most people make it a priority to find a vehicle within their budget. That’s not a bad thing, it’s good practice to live within one’s own means. So when it comes to shopping for items that make life a little more lively, like an automotive vehicle for transportation, it’s good practice to shop smart. When shopping for a new or used car, it’s good to have a budget while looking for a car that is not only practical, but also affordable. We took a look at all of the models made by the seven brands we have available, and here are five of the most affordable vehicles at the Miami Lakes Automall.

Kia Soul

The entry level 2018 Kia Soul comes in at a starting MSRP of $16,200*. Powered by a 1.6-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine, this vehicle is a great starter vehicle for a new driver. A 130-horsepower engine won’t have teen drivers flying down the highway, and the limited technology won’t distract them too much. Standard features include an AM/FM/MP3/SiriusXM six-speaker sound system and Bluetooth connectivity with the option to upgrade for the UVO eServices infotainment system to include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, displayed on a seven-inch touchscreen. This upgrade also includes the novelty of a rearview camera display.

Jeep Renegade

Looking to get a little off-road from time-to-time? Starting at $18,445*, the 2018 Jeep Renegade Sport may not have a dedicated 4×4 system, but it comes with 16-inch rims and all-season tires. Plus, the MySky power retractable with removable panels moonroof is an option to look into if just wanting to enjoy the open air. Powered by a 130hp 1.6-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine optimized with dual continuously variable valve timing and gasoline direct injection, 118 lb-ft of torque is a good start. The standard features aren’t too bad either, including Bluetooth, a rear-view camera, keyless entry, and Uconnect 3 on a compact 5-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system.

Jeep Compass

Another Jeep that makes the list is the 2018 Jeep Compass. The base model, also a Sport, had a starting MSRP of $20,995*. There are some similarities to the Renegade Sport trim, having Bluetooth streaming audio on a six-speaker system standard, along with Uconnect 3 on a 5-inch touchscreen. Some convenient standard features include heated exterior mirrors and solar control glass to keep the cabin from heating up. A large difference is the powertrain – under the hood of the 2018 Jeep Compass Sport is a 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir inline 4-cylinder engine, able to generate 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. If looking for more power delivery versus off-road action, this would be the choice to make.

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Hitting a bit of a range along the price tag, the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport starts at $29,395* with a 5-speed manual transmission, $21,595* with an automatic continuously variable transmission, and $23,095* for the Outlander Sport ES 2.0 AWC with continuously variable transmission and Mitsubishi’s All-Wheel Control drivetrain system. Akin to all-wheel drive, the All-Wheel Control drivetrain system has been designed to handle various kinds of road conditions to offer the driver better handling of the vehicle. A 7-inch touchscreen audio system, a rear-view camera, a four speaker sound system, Bluetooth compatibility, and automatic climate control complete the package for either configuration of the base. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine, optimized by Mitsubishi Motors’ MIVEC system, able to deliver 148 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque.

Chevrolet Trax

A nice medium between the most affordable and most costly on our list is the 2018 Chevrolet Trax, wiggling in there at a starting MSRP of $21,000*. Powered by a turbocharged 1.4-liter EcoTec engine optimized with variable valve timing and multi-port fuel injection, 138 horsepower may not sound like much, but the 33 mpg of fuel economy on the highway is definitely a nice number. As usual with Chevrolet vehicles, even the base trim of the Chevrolet Trax, LS, comes with nifty tech, such as a built-in 4G LTE wi-fi hotspot to compliment a six-speaker sound system.
