Jeep Wrangler Reported to Have Record-Breaking Monthly Sales, Again
Looks like Jeep did something to get people’s attention with the introduction of the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL. Jeep recently reported that the Jeep Wrangler had the best sales month its ever had in April 2018, which is extremely impressive considering that the Wrangler has been produced for more than 30 years.
Not only is it impressive that April 2018 was a great month for the Wrangler, but this is the second consecutive month that the Wrangler’s sales have broken the all-time record for number of units sold in a month.The sales of the Wrangler were so excellent in April, the Jeep brand had a 20 percent sales increase for April 2018 in comparison to sales in April 2017.
While we can’t say we expected the redesigned Wrangler to be quite that popular, we did expect to see an increase in Wrangler sales at our store because the new Wrangler JL has it all. Jeep did a fabulous job keeping the Wrangler’s iconic style, but incorporating a lot of new convenience features.
Two areas where Jeep made excellent improvements to the Wrangler were with the addition of new exterior features and new engine options. The changes to exterior features include a mix of improvements to the vehicle’s aerodynamics as well as more user-friendly removable components, like the one-touch power retractable roof.
The new engine options on the Jeep Wrangler JL include an all-new mild-hybrid powertrain, an EcoDiesel engine option and the return of the 3.6-liter V6 engine. The new engine options give consumers a lot of variety that helps the rugged Jeep compete with the engine options that are available on most other mid-size Jeeps. The diesel option is a great option for buyers looking for improved fuel economy, in addition to a long-lasting engine and increased torque. The new mild-hybrid engine that features eTorque technology offers great power and the best fuel economy of all three engine options.
The redesign of the Jeep Wrangler JL was a pretty important step for the Jeep brand to make because it included a lot of modern changes to their most iconic model. So considering the fact that buyers are embracing those changes, it should be a signal to Jeep that consumers are concerned about fuel economy and convenience and their happy to invest in it.
