There Are Four Different Models

You may have difficulties determining which Jeep you should be pursuing. Even though you’ve zeroed in on the Wrangler Unlimited, you’re not finished making choices. That’s because the brand offers four different models for the Wrangler Unlimited, including the Sport, Sports S, Sahara and Rubicon.

The Sport model includes the impressive 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, capable of pushing out 260 ft-lbs of torque and a best-in-class 295 horsepower. The system also delivers an impressive 16 city/21 highway mile per gallon fuel efficiency, and it also includes a “comprehensive warranty.” This engine is supplemented by the Command-Trac 4×4 system with NV241 HII transfer case, which provides drivers with best-in-class winter performance. This allows the Wrangler Unlimited to “conquer obstacles and tackle slick conditions.”

Another main feature of the Sport model is the underbody armor, a 2.5-milimeter stamped steel skid plate that protects the vehicle’s “critical components”. Finally, the interior’s drain plugs allow the driver to wash their vehicle without fear of damage. Furthermore, if your Jeep happens to flood, you can flush the interior via the holes.

The Sport S offers drivers the durable (and flashy) 17-inch MOAB cast-aluminum wheels, painted silver and accompanied by Goodyear Wrangler SR-A tires. This assures that your Wrangler Unlimited can travel any time of year, even in the worst weather. The model’s interior also differs from the other Unlimiteds, as it features a chrome, leather-wrapped shift knob, and steering wheel.

The Sahara upgrades those previously mentioned wheels to 18 inches, while the interior is upgraded to include premium embroidered cloth seats (or optional embroidered leather trim to complement the design). As the Jeep website says, the material will make for one of the most comfortable rides in the class. Of course, the nine-speaker Alpine Premium All-Weather Sound System will certainly contribute to that enjoyable drive, as the 6.5-inch speakers deliver best-in-class audio. On the outside, engineers have included fender flares and sleek front and rear bumpers.

Finally, the top-of-the-line Rubicon comes with its own set of unique wheels and tires: 17-inch polished mineral gray wheels with 32-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tires. This won’t only come in handy during the winter, but it will also give the driver an opportunity to travel off road. The Rock-Trac Heavy-Duty Transfer Case can also contribute to the durability, as does the 73.1:1 crawl ratio. The Tru-Lok electronic locking differentials evenly distributes power to the wheels, resulting in “unbelievable traction.”

It Comes With Lots of Technology

Jeeps aren’t necessarily known for their innovative technology. However, the Wrangler Unlimited includes a number of features that drivers will certainly appreciate.

It starts with the Uconnect System with Navigation by Garmin. The system allows you to access satellite or basic radio, your phone’s basic features (call and text), and an extensive navigation system. You can access all of these capabilities via the sound of your voice, as the system uses the innovative Uconnect Voice Command. That means you can access all these technological features without ever taking your eyes off the road.

If you’re used to driving in the pitch black, the Wrangler Unlimited will provide you with some sense of security. Every model comes with illuminated footwells and illuminated center console cup holders. This won’t only help you see some essential parts of your cabin, but the faint lights can also ease your fear of the dark. The vehicle includes an auto-dimming rearview mirror with LED map lights, providing you with even more light and comfort. These are especially helpful during nighttime off-roading trips.

Other features include the Automatic Temperature Control (allows the driver or passenger to adjust the heating and cooling cycles, which helps “maintain optimal comfort”). There’s also an audio input jack (allowing the driver to hook up their phone or listening device to the vehicle’s stereo and sound system), a lockable center console (allowing you to secure some of your valuable goods), heated front seats, a customizable instrument cluster (providing you with some essential information, including vehicle diagnostics), and multiple power outlets.

While the engineers certainly prioritized performance and off-roading capabilities during their development of the Wrangler Unlimited, they didn’t skimp out on the features. This makes for quite an innovative Jeep, an attribute that customers will definitely appreciate.

It Also Includes a Stylish Exterior

The Wrangler Unlimited was intentionally designed to incorporate the classic Jeep design with “all-weather capability that testifies to its off-road prowess.”

While the various features make the Jeep a dependable choice during the winter, many of the vehicle’s exterior features actually sets it up for an excellent summer ride. Drivers can opt for the Freedom Top hardtop or the Sunride soft top, which can both be removed to give a comfortable ride during the Summer months. The doors and roll-up windows can also be removed, making for the ultimate driving experience.

Engineers also included some much-appreciated details to the Wrangler Unlimited, like the full-size spare tire, available side steps, available heated power mirrors and the park turn lamps, headlamps, and fog lights.

It’s Safe

The Wrangler Unlimited offers best-in-class safety, and we can initially attribute that sentiment to the high-strength steel body. This design improves side-impact performance and vehicle stiffness. Of course, the various features also contribute to this security.

For example, the electronic stability control prevents the driver from over- or under-steering, all while applying brakes and controlling your throttle when needed. The Electronic Roll Mitigation can determine when a rollover might occur, and the Brake Assist System helps decrease the stopping distance on any kind of surface.

Furthermore, the Sentry Key antitheft and remote keyless entry system allows you to lock/unlock your doors and access the flip-up windows from up to 50 feet away. Plus, without the exclusive Sentry Key, it’s practically impossible to operate the vehicle, meaning you don’t have to worry about your vehicle being stolen. Finally, the Trailer Sway Control means all of your hauled goods will remain “safely and securely on course.”
