Electric Dodge Muscle Will Purr Nicely – Miami Lakes Automall Dodge Electric Dodge Muscle Will Purr Nicely

Will Dodge put V8 engines in future car models? The answer is quite possibly, yes. Dodge has showcased to visitors of the 2023 Chicago Auto Show what they dubbed as a “second draft” of their “industry-first BEV exhaust”. Dodge is planning to reveal their final last call muscle car, but will have us doing the guesswork as to what future additions they will create with their newest muscle entry that will begin its production run in less than a year. Before their electrified and groundbreaking , not to mention award-winning rides start a new chapter.
First added on the Dodge Charger SRT Daytona concept, the sound features a low-end frequency and rumbles as the sound hits 126 decibels. This is the same level of loud as any supercharged V8-housed Dodge Challenger or Dodge Charger Hellcat. This was a goal for the brand; offer buyers an exhaust geared to sound more like a V8-powered muscle car and less electrified in comparison. After all, the important details that matter go a long way, as this focus has propelled Dodge to secure the top-selling muscle car spot in sales in 2022 last year.
Inside the Details of the Next Dodge Muscle
This is all possible thanks to The Fratzonic system works as an external speaker that connects to the throttle position and speed of the vehicle, pushing sound out through a rear outlet. The production Charger SRT Daytona isn’t scheduled to start rolling off the factory line until next year, and more revisions of the exhaust could end up as the final choice before all is set in stone.
Although Dodge is not the only brand to patent an exhaust for its EV vehicles, they have dubbed the term “Fratzonic system”, thus being an industry-first. Luxury brand Ferrari actually filed a patent for something similar but was a little late to the game.
Engine and Electric Power Ratings
As many as nine powertrain outputs are planned to be released and feature in the total line-up of the Dodge brand’s EV future. The first powertrain hits 340kW of power and features a 400V electrical system, with eStage 1 and eStage 2 upgrades bumping outputs to 370kW and 400kW, respectively. The next powertrain option is set to hit 400kW of power and use a 400V electrical system. eStage 1 and eStage 2 boosts can raise the outputs to 470kW and 500kW, respectively.
Dodge hasn’t disclosed outputs for the forthcoming Charger SRT Daytona, but has revealed an 800V SRT Banshee powertrain package that will be offered with its own stage upgrades.
