“Waymo” News About Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid

In the last few weeks, there has been “waymo” news about the Chrysler Pacifica and while that is a pun on one piece of the news, there really has been a lot of news.

First, Chrysler is producing “waymo” (last time we use it) Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid’s for Google’s company, Waymo. Starting next month Chrysler will begin production on another 500 models, bringing the number of Pacifica Hybrid models Waymo has is 600 models. Once Waymo receives the models, they will begin outfitting them with tech to make that makes the Pacifica Hybrid a self-driving PHEV minivan.

Second, Chrysler just announced that they are expanding the Pacifica lineup from seven to eight models! The new addition will be the Touring Plus trim and it will offer consumers even more variety when shopping and buying a new Pacifica. The new trim’s features include a premium fascia, power liftgate, three-zone automatic temperature control and upgraded exterior lighting. The new trim will have a starting MSRP of $32,360.

And a few weeks ago, the Pacifica snagged the title as Best Minivan at Popular Mechanics’ Automotive Excellence Awards. The Pacifica earned the award for the minivan’s precise engineering and Chrysler’s creative storage and tech innovations.
