This year, the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles decided to give the Dodge Grand Caravan and Journey the boot, but they are still making moves with their latest Chrysler Voyager model for 2021. The Voyager is one of the most affordable minivans in the automotive market and is known for its fair share of similarities from its cousin, the Pacifica. What we can expect from this brand new vehicle is a stellar list of features as well as a near-immortal 2.6-liter Pentastar V6, which gives out 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Each model will have a standard seating capacity of seven and will also include voice control and familiar smartphone integration apps, like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Another strong selling point is the Voyager’s recognized proficiency in safety, as it has received a five-star overall rating from the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). This rating owes to the van’s seven airbags, DRLs, brake assist, and the inclusion of many other common safety features. Some not so common features that will be included in the 2021 model are pedestrian detection with automatic emergency braking and full-speed forward collision alert. In terms of design, there will be a new black lower grille and an Ocean Blue Metallic paint option. For amenities, the car will have a standard power driver’s seat alongside a 3.5-inch driver info display, at the same time, options include tri-zone manual climate control and an overhead DVD player. Six speakers will be connected to a seven-inch Uconnect 4 touchscreen that has active voice cancellation. Extra available safety features include rear parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring.

The Voyager has available rear- and side-entry conversions, which can create easier access and also allow for more space inside the vehicle. For disabled passengers, this system is especially helpful because not only does it produce much-needed space for their wheelchairs and scooters but the car also features an upgraded ramp securing system that makes it easier for those in the mobility vehicles to enter inside of the car much easier. The LXi fleet-only version will be available with leatherette seating, remote start, a roof rack, and a retractable heat shield in the second-row. At this time, pricing has not been announced, but we can only expect that it will undercut its competitors.
