Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Technology Is So Good Maserati Wants It
Chrysler Pacifica hybrid technology is good, so good that the Italian performance automaker, Maserati, wants to borrow it. Yep, you heard that right. Maserati will be producing the Maserati Levante Hybrid, which will be a luxury SUV and it will have parts and technology borrowed from the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. Not too many details regarding the Levante and parts from the Pacifica have been released, but we can show you why the hybrid technology is so good Maserati wants it. Check it out:
* The Chrysler Pacifica hybrid comes with the standard 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with dual electric motors.
* In addition to the engine and dual electric motors is a 16 kWh battery.
* Despite the fact that this is a hybrid van, the engine, battery and motor produces 260 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque.
* The battery only takes 2 hours to fully charge with the powerful 240-volt charger and 14 hours with a 120-volt charger.
- When powered only by the battery, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid can travel 33 miles. When the battery and engine work together, the Pacifica Hybrid has a fuel economy of 84 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) and the minivan has a total range of 570 miles with a full tank of gas and a fully charged battery.
Additionally, the Pacifica Hybrid can seat 7-8 passengers and it comes with plenty of standard entertainment and safety technology features. Not only is this hybrid technology ones of a kind, but it can be purchased for $41,995 (much less than what the Maserati will cost).
