The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado Has More Power, Comfort, and Technologies – Miami Lakes Automall Chevrolet
The Chevrolet Colorado is doing great things for 2023. This midsize pickup recently made its debut and displays various shapes both inside and out, which is especially important as it faces off with other competitors in its segment like Ford, Toyota, and GMC. Here are all of the things to look forward to with the new Colorado.
One Engine and Three Outputs
Shoppers who are looking to purchase the latest Colorado when it goes on sale during the first half of 2023 will have five different trim levels to choose from: The base Work Truck (WT), Colorado LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2.
All of these trucks will share the same engine, a 2.4-liter turbocharged 14 motor matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Despite this, there are three different outputs depending on the trim. The base 2.7L Turbo produces an output of 237 hp with 259 lb-ft of torque, the 2.7L Turbo Plus produces 310 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque, and the 2.7L Turbo High-Output 310 with 430 lb-ft of torque.
Additionally, rear-wheel-drive (RWD) is standard on WT and LT trims, while the Z71 and ZR2 models come with four-wheel-drive (4WD).
Beautified Interior
The Colorado’s cabin has received an update from the humpty dumpty box that it previously had, to one that is fresh and happening. According to Chevrolet , there are four new interior schemes, which on some trims, involve wrapped and stitched knee pads on the doors and center console. Other models receive a clean contrast stitching with different choices of cloth and leather upholstery. Then, for the first time, the Colorado truck will offer a sunroof.
One of the main highlights of this vehicle is the standard 11.3-inch central touchscreen, using an updated version of the brand’s user-friendly infotainment software. There are also configurable pages, an off-road-specific display and built-in Google apps for maps, music, and more. Plus, all of these Colorado pickups feature an 8-inch digital gauge cluster.
The touchscreen involves several camera viewing options, with some aiding in hooking up a trailer and towing, which also works in tandem with the brand’s smartphone trailering app. The Z71 and ZR2 have an underbody camera, allowing drivers to see large obstacles.
For driver-assist technologies, the 2022 pickup comes with automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, front pedestrian braking, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, automatic high-beam headlights, and a distance alert.
Optional features amount to a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, rear pedestrian alert, rear cross-traffic braking, and blind-spot monitoring, which can be added to every trim level, including the entry-level WT.
Arrive Date
The 2023 Chevy Colorado will be assembled at General Motors’ factory in Wentzville, Missouri. It’s expected to start its production in early 2023, with the automaker saying that it will reveal its final pricing and fuel economy data closer to that time.
