GM Teases All-New Chevy Silverado EV In Super Bowl Ad – Miami Lakes Automall Chevrolet

The 2024 Chevy Silverado was recently in the spotlight, taking its minute of fame. The all-electric pickup truck was spotted along with actor Will Farrel in a recent Super Bowl ad. The actor was shown in a series of popular Netflix shows, including Stranger Things , Bridgerton , and Squid Game . Alongside him were various EVs from the parent company General Motors. Recently the automaker partnered with Netflix for an advertising campaign to increase public interest in electric vehicles. Chevrolet has been teasing its all-new Silverado EV , which will be released in the spring of 2023. The automaker is working on other EVs, including the Chevy Colorado EV , slated for 2026. For now, we’ll look at the Silverado EV and see what consumers can expect.

Chevy Silverado EV Makes Special Appearance In Super Bowl Ad

The 2024 Chevy Silverado recently appeared in the latest Super Bowl ad. The all-electric pickup truck and several other EVs in General Motors’ (GM) lineup were shown in a series of popular Netflix shows. Actor Will Farrell stars as the lead in the ad as he takes the audience through various presentations highlighting the versatility and efficiency of electric vehicles. GM and Netflix recently partnered for an ad campaign, so the shows featured included Stranger Things , Bridgerton , and Squid Game , to name a few. About their collaborative ad campaign, GM global Chief Marketing Officer Deborah Wahl said,

“We want to make EVs famous on streaming, small and silver screens to build an EV culture through storytelling that incorporates the experiences of driving and owning an EV,” said Deborah Wahl. “Netflix is a great partner because of the company’s compelling storytelling, commitment to sustainability, and track record of sparking conversations that shape cultural trends.”

GM and Netflix plan to introduce electric vehicles in upcoming shows and new films. Consumers can expect to see EVs like the Chevy Bolt EV , and GMC Hummer EV in shows like Love is Blind, Queer Eye, and Unstable. As for the Silverado EV, consumers looking forward to the powerful electric pickup truck can expect it to arrive in the spring of 2023. Chevrolet will initially offer the Silverado EV in a WT trim. A range-topping RST First Edition trim will then follow it. While details have not been fully revealed, the WT trim will likely offer 510 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque, while the RST First Edition will deliver 664 horsepower and 780 lb-ft of torque. We’ll stay tuned for now, but consumers can expect to see the Silverado EV on screen and available in markets soon.
