2019 Chevy Silverado Highlights

The wait is almost over – in only a few more months the new 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 will be out and ready to drive. The new pickup truck will have new and exemplary features, including a bigger and stronger bed and also a powerful, yet, fuel efficient engine. To add to those amazing improvements to the luxurious interior and entertainment system is definitely something to get excited about.

Each 2019 Chevy Silverado will have bigger and better truck beds. These beds are made of steel to make sure that each bed can hold as much weight as possible and be as durable. In fact, this new bed can hold one and a half times the amount of strength of its predecessor, making it that much more awesome. The bed is also strategically designed as two pieces.

The reason for this is because of the conservation of space – Having the bed made of two pieces saves weight and makes for a 23 percent increase of space for the bed. With that being said, there is an added amount of almost seven inches of floor width space. For convenience, there is a button on every key fob of the vehicle to open and close the tailgate, and another great and easy option is to press a button to do the same for opening the tailgate of the bed from within the cabin of the vehicle.

There is a new dynamic fuel management system that is being used for every 2019 Chevy Silverado. This new system has the technology that could boost fuel efficiency by 5 percent, and that can actually reduce the amount of fuel used, making an advantage of a better performing engine. The two powerful V8 engines, 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter models built by General Motors Tennessee, are able to generate greater power because of their larger displacements and great low end torque. The 6.2-liter model has 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, while the 5.3-liter model with 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The V8 that being used for this truck creates barely any noise to be heard from within the cabin.

The bodywork of the new 2019 Chevy Silverado is made of aluminum, in turn, making the vehicle lighter and more capable than before. Chevy has specifically cut around 450 pounds from its overall weight, and some of that weight comes from 88 pounds shaved off of the body and 88 pounds of the frame also being taken out. In addition, there is a seven percent improvement in the aerodynamic efficiency – This is because of the new steeper windshield and also the integral roof spoiler.

Several trims are available for the new 2019 Chevy Silverado, and some come with upgrades. One of these is the Custom Trailboss trim, now with a 2.0-inch lift for any off-road adventures one might acquire. The base trim of the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado consists of a Work Truck trim and has 17-inch steel wheels with a black exterior, but has the option of 22-inch wheels available. The wheelbase has amounted to 3.9 inches longer than its previous size. The exterior of the vehicle has special two-tone lighting and chrome running boards. The car has LED lighting for all the exterior lighting. There are 12 fixed tie-downs in the bed of the truck that can hold up to 1000 pounds worth of cargo, and with that being, said cargo volume is also amazing with 61.0 cubic-feet of space.

The interior of the 2019 Chevy Silverado is just as luxurious as the exterior. With available leather seats, and a spacious cabin with about three more inches of legroom, from 40.9 inches to the new 43.8 inches. This provides extra comfort and room for any person wanting to take a ride in the new 2019 Chevy Silverado.

Every 2019 Chevy Silverado includes a stereo system with options to play music from an iPhone or Android with Apple Carplay and Google Android Audio, respectively. Apple Carplay and Android Audio also allow you to connect your phone to the infotainment system to make phone calls and access other applications, hands-free. The 2019 Chevy Silverado includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, by the way.
