On April 25, 2024, Stellantis-owned Ram Trucks announced its new off-road models, comprising trucks from the light- and heavy-duty segments. The new range is the most comprehensive off-road lineup yet, and it claims to be the most affordable and capable in the industry. This includes the all-new 1500 RHO, 1500 Rebel, 1500 Warlock, 2500 Power Wagon, and 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel. Tim Kuniskis, Ram brand CEO, highlighted the particular blend of style and ruggedness that characterizes the automaker’s pickup truck lineup, stating, “Ram is all about offering the choice of more power, performance, capability with a unique combination of bold styling, durability and customized performance straight from the factory.” He added, “These are the most off-road models Ram has offered, and it’s a group that doesn’t stand at attention but doesn’t mind going out and getting some attention either.”
2025 Ram 1500 RHO
The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO costs $69,995 MSRP (excluding a $1,995 destination fee). The turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six engine propels the high-performance truck up to 540 horsepower and generates 521 pound-feet of torque. Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive performance shocks provide the 1500 RHO with massive off-roading capability, with the suspension system essentially unchanged from the TRX. Ram notes that subtle modifications have been made to the suspension to offset the 150-pound weight reduction over the V-8. Meanwhile, zero to 60 miles per hour takes just 4.6 seconds.
2025 Ram 1500 Rebel
The 2025 1500 Rebel is now available with a Rebel X package that boasts additional equipment via the Rebel Level 2 Equipment Group. Features include front and rear heated seats, a 14.5-inch touchscreen, a power-operated tailgate, dual wireless charging, a heated steering wheel, and more. Moreover, the Rebel X is available with an exclusive Mojave Sand exterior color. This iteration also gets a Rough Road Cruise Control feature that allows the driver to set a speed on a dirt road. To clarify, the system scans the road ahead and adjusts the suspension to ensure a smooth ride.
2025 Ram 1500 Warlock
At $54,260 MSRP (excluding a $1,995 destination fee), the 1500 Warlock is nearly $10,000 cheaper than the Rebel. This trim pays homage to the original ‘70s Warlock models and provides buyers with a well-equipped and competent pickup with an affordable price tag. The 3.0-liter Hurricane Standard Output six-cylinder engine delivers 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque, channeled to the drive wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Warlock is outfitted with front and rear Bilstein shocks, 18-inch black-painted wheels, skid plates, and a one-inch factory suspension lift.
2024 Ram 2500 Power Wagon
The 2500 Power Wagon is one of the most renowned and beloved Ram models, with the model name dating back to 1945. That said, the latest model is equally as rugged as the rudimentary pickup trucks from 80 years ago, with upgraded spring rates, control arms, and Bilstein shocks. Additionally, the Power Wagon sits two inches higher than the standard 2500. The manufacturer has also equipped the Power Wagon with a 12,000-pound WARN Zeon-12 winch and locking differentials.
2024 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel
The $68,965 MSRP (excluding a $1,995 destination fee) Heavy Duty Rebel is available with a standard 410-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission or an optional 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel inline-six. According to sources, “The Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel uses Power Wagon’s structure and off-road prowess as a base while offering an alternative that off-road truck customers have been clamoring for.” The Cummins engine, for example, delivers 370 ponies and an immense 850 pound-feet of torque. Similar to the Power Wagon, the Heavy Duty Rebel gets a rear limited-slip differential, 33-inch off-road tires, an electronic locker, and skid plates protecting the fuel tank.
