On Monday, February 5, 2024, Ram began production of the 2025 Ram 1500 pickup truck. As such, special editions are all the rage these days, and the brand is bringing another one to market for the 2025 model year: the 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T. These new trucks will arrive at dealer lots with a sporty attitude and a touch of added performance.
The 2025 Ram 1500 G/T trims begin by receiving a sport performance hood. Laramie and Rebel G/T trucks then add unique G/T exterior graphics. To that end, Ram has a strong history of performance trucks, and the Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T trims add to that while expanding the light-duty lineup with the segment’s best combination of capability, performance, technology, and luxury.
The Interior
Moving inside, the 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie and Rebel G/T pickups will be treated to updates. For example, among the several outstanding interior features are some very special additions designed to help the Laramie G/T and the Rebel G/T stand out further from the crowd. First of all, the front gets supportive and sporty bucket seats that make every ride more comfortable. Look at the stitching and customers will find a rather fetching and unique G/T logo.
The trucks receive steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters for dynamic and smooth optional manual gear shifting when drivers need those shifts to assist in performance. A console-mounted performance shifter is also included. Moreover, the inclusion of a 3.92 rear axle ratio ensures that power is efficiently delivered to the wheels.
Accompanying the hardware is standard software to the Uconnect system in the form of Mopar’s application Performance Pages. This gives drivers all the tools and data they require to understand their Laramie G/T or Rebel G/T and how it performs. Performance Pages showcase information such as zero to 60 times, engine performance, G-forces, and much more. All the data can be saved and downloaded to a USB drive.
Ramping Up Performance
The most notable feature, however, is housed under the hood. The 2025 G/T Package accelerates up to 420 ponies and delivers 469 pound-feet of torque courtesy of the all-new Hurricane Standard-Output engine. Even though it has a smaller 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged displacement, readers would be remiss to discount this engine. After all, figures indicate that this engine generates 25 horsepower and 59 pound-feet of torque more than its predecessor, the well regarded Hemi V-8.
What is more, a Level 2 Equipment Package is available for those buyers seeking to unleash even more potential from the G/T Package. To clarify, experts claim that the “comprehensive package includes a variety of features such as memory seats, adjustable pedals with memory, and accent lighting to elevate the driving experience.” Outside of the unique and exclusive G/T features, buyers should also remember they are purchasing a Ram 1500 pickup truck. This means the Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T are among the swiftest and most powerful mass-produced pickups in the world, as well as receiving the hallmarks of technology and luxury for the interior.
It is essential to remember that Ram has not yet officially announced the return of the G/T trims, but sources strongly suggest that the G/T Package will be available for the Laramie and Rebel trims in the 2025 model year. The price tag for the package appears to be an additional $3,095 on top of the Level 2 Equipment Package.
