Kia Adds New Standard Features to 2025 Kia EV9

Automakers don’t always change much on the new model year of a vehicle unless it’s due for a major upgrade. In other cases, maybe sales have dropped or aren’t hitting the margins the automaker expected. This happens to be the case for the Kia Corp, and its flagship vehicle, the EV9 all-electric SUV. Although still popular with journalists, the EV9 didn’t do as well as it did in sales last year. To beef it up for 2025, Kia added some new standard features and tech options to the 2025 Kia EV9.
Interior Features
There is already a lot to love in the EV9. Lineup standards already include a triple-zone automatic climate control with an automatic de-fog system, rear passenger automatic climate control, rear ac vents, an 8-way power driver’s seat with 2-way power lumbar adjustment and an 8-way power front passenger seat with 2-way power lumbar adjustment, heated front row seats, ventilated front row seats, one-touch sliding & folding second-row seats, 50/50 split-folding & reclining third-row seats, and LED interior lighting. How could this get any better? 2025 adds surround view monitoring, suede headlining, and a new two-tone steering wheel to the interior cabin of the Kia EV9.
Tech
Again, Kia knocked it out of the park. No wonder the EV9 is the flagship model. Standard equipment for the 2024 Kia EV9 is a 12.3-inch touchscreen display and 12.3-inch instrument cluster display. This is quickly becoming popular, offering consumers a total of 24-inches of digital space. Also included are smart-touch haptic controls and Kia Connect, capable of supporting Google Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth wireless technology, and pre-cooling & heating through the Kia Access App. For 2025, a heads-up display option was added for an additional $440. The Convenience Package now comes with Kia Digital Key 2, and costs $815 (down from $1,100).
Safety
There are so many advances safety features, it’s hard to wonder what Kia added. Every 2024 Kia EV9 comes with blind-spot collision warning, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, forward collision warning, forward collision-avoidance assist (with pedestrian,, cyclist, junction turning and detection, oncoming lane change and side & evasive steering detection), rear cross-traffic alert collision avoidance-assist, a parking distance warning for the rear and front, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane following assist 2, navigation-based smart cruise control with stop & go plus curve, smart cruise control with stop & go, highway driving assist 2, intelligent speed limit, a driver attention warning, and safe exit assist. For 2025, blind spot monitoring, rear and side parking collision avoidance, and parking distance alerts have been added, initially only found on the Land and GT trims, or the GT-Line trim.
As always, all Kia models are backed by an industry leading warranty. The 2024 Kia EV9 is backed by a 10-year or 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty, a 5-year or 60,000-mile limited basic warranty, and a 5-year or 100,000-mile limited anti-perforation warranty. Best of all, the MSRP is more or less the same, starting at $54,900 (plus destination fee).
