Miami Lakes Auto Mall Jeep Compass

The new Jeep Compass was unveiled at the 2021 Chicago Auto Show. The Compass welcomed consumers to a new premium design, all-new interior, advanced safety, and security features. Additionally, with an abundance of next-generation technology, the autonomous driving joint provides the most technically advanced Compass Jeep has ever made.

The Jeep Compass is available in five trims:

  • Sport
  • Latitude
  • Latitude LUX (New)
  • Limited
  • Trail Rated Trailhawk

On-Road Performance

It doesn’t matter where the Compass travels; whether off-roading on a trail or navigating through the busiest street, the Jeep Compass is equipped to deliver quality performance. Off-roading capabilities are powered by two advanced, intelligent 4×4 systems that can provide 100% torque to any specific wheel. The Power-transfer unit (PTU) and rear axle sustain the 4×4 models with better fuel economy than ever before. In addition, the Jeep Active Drive and Active Drive Low 4×4 systems engage at any given moment when 4×4 traction is needed.

Jeep Active Drive

Through the PTU, the Jeep Active Drive is fully automatic and a seamless operation no matter the speed. No driver interference is needed, whether in or out of the four-wheel drive. The active drive comes standard on the Sport, Latitude, and Limited 4×4 models. In addition, the Active Drive can emit up to 100% of the engine’s available torque to the rear wheels, which allow for optimum grip in conditions of low tractions.

Jeep Active Drive Low

The Active Drive Low provides a 20:1 crawl ratio. The Jeep Active Drive and Active Drive Low 4×4 systems include the Jeep Selec-Terrain system with four modes Auto, Snow, Sand, and Mud, with the Rock Mode being exclusive to the Trailhawk model.

Interior Craftsmanship

The 2022 Jeep Compass showcased a technologically advanced cabin that presents a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 center stack display and a 10.25-inch frameless full-color thin-film transistor (TFT) digital cluster. In addition, a team designed the interior of the Compass to ensure the compact SUV penetrates a premium experience not just outside but inside the cabin. Once inside the cab, the driver and passengers are welcomed to a new meaning of spaciousness.

The panel features a wrapped mid-pad, held by a sculpted, painted, or chrome-plated accent running the length of the panel, seemingly integrating slim HVAC vents. An appealing contrast sitting below the front panel highlights a painted or hydrographic applique adding textual richness. There’s also a Gloss Black center stack display that heightens the horizontal theme with either an 8.4-inch (entry-level) or 10.1-inch high-definition touchscreen. With the 10.1-inch screen being standard for the Latitude LUX, Trailhawk, and Limited.

The driver control center integrates several functional features. Starting with a streamlined cup holder, a new shift bezel with an integrated park brake, and a chrome-textured Selec-Terrain toggle. The front cabin also provides a USB Type-A and C port along with a wireless charging pad.

Decorative effects of the front cabin provide a slim headrest with heated and ventilated essentials. Heated seats will be available for second-row seating.HVAC vents are repositioned in the second row, and rear passengers will be able to access an optional 115-volt power outlet and up to two USB ports.

Black and Steel Grey interior with Sepia-wrapped accents on the mid-panel and doors adding a distinct finish to the Limited models. The front cabin’s door trim panels are soft to touch with an eye appeal to match. Redesigned door handles are 360-degrees, surrounding a Piano Black bezel.

Safety and Security Features

There are over 75 features to accompany the new Jeep Compass. Starting with the Highway Assist, a semi-autonomous driving system. The system utilizes multiple sensors, radars, and cameras, controlling the vehicle on approved highways.

Another new feature is Traffic Sign Recognition, and this feature displays the speed limit sign information to the driver. Traffic Sign Recognition will be available for the Limited, Trailhawk, and High Altitude models.

Pedestrian/Cyclist Automatic Emergency Braking comes standard in every Compass trim. Radar technology is used to identify potential frontal impacts. So when the system detects a pedestrian and senses a collision, it will activate the vehicle’s brakes if the driver does not respond.

A surround-view camera is available on the Latitude models above, offering a 360-degree, bird’s-eye view of the vehicle and its surroundings. In addition, the system is enhanced through ParkSense front and rear park assist. Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist are also available for the Limited, Trailhawk, and High Altitude models using ultrasonic sensors to guide the driver.

The Compass is scheduled to arrive in the US in the fall of 2021.
