New 2019 Jeep Cherokee Highlights and Changes – Miami Lakes Automall Jeep

Among the many SUVs available on the market, few have gathered a following as strong as Jeep’s Cherokee brand. A bold decision to change the iconic headlamps backfired and this new image shows Jeep has refreshed the 2019 Jeep Cherokee. Now a distinctly different design has transformed various areas both inside and out of this beloved vehicle.

New Engine + Upgrades

With a brand new engine choice, the 270 horsepower, 2.0-litre turbo four engine, owners will have another option with an engine that boasts strong performance for a vehicle that maintains its unique power, stylish comfort and off road capabilities. This engine pairs with the TorqueFlite nine-speed automatic transmission, which has revamped software to allow for more refined shifting while driving.

The 2019 Jeep Cherokee maintains independent suspension with three different 4×4 systems available for the newest Cherokee version. A lighter vehicle overall, Jeep finds ways to continue shaving off weight, while making the vehicle just as powerful. While the knowledge of the towing capacity of the 2.0-Turbo engine is unknown, the V6 engine allows up to 4,500 pounds of towing capacity.

Further Design Upgrades

Starting with the front of the vehicle, the headlights have changed immensely, returning back to their original elongated and wider look and going away from the narrow, smaller headlamp that was on the last Cherokee model design.

The new 2019 Jeep Cherokee also receives design changes to the rear of the vehicle by moving the license plate from the bumper to the liftgate, adding updated taillights. The taillights have stayed in the same spot, but now have a small underline light under them. Other changes include updating the exhausts tips while refreshing the rest of the front of the vehicle a further upright hood that creates a smooth look from front to back of the entire 2019 Jeep Cherokee.

Aside from changes made to the headlights and the small changes to the rear of the vehicle, the new 2019 Cherokee design is fairly similar to the last Cherokee design, which first came out in 2013. This new generation has come a long way with an even sleeker, modern design that should continue to attract customers.

Modern Tech Interior

The interior also has been revamped. Less plastic is noticeable inside the cabin space. Not much more space was added the interior, but a better infotainment system is a welcomed upgrade. The new available 7-or 8.4-inch touchscreen that uses the latest UConnect system responds faster to users, which offers a much better user experience. Finally adding Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionalities, 2019 Jeep Cherokee owners will enjoy more standard modern amenities.
