Next-Gen Dodge Muscle Details Revealed
Summer is ending and yet, the wait for the newest Dodge rides is that much closer. The all-new Dodge Charger generation will arrive late this year and combine the fortune of both gasoline and electric vehicle offerings. We don’t have to speculate about what Dodge will create any longer. Within either option Dodge is Offering only two trims, the “Scat Pack” matched with a 670 horsepower powertrain rating that secures a wildly quick 3.3 second 0-60 mph mark. The R/T trim options brings 496 horsepower and loads of strength for any driver to feel secure. That’s a given for drivers, as anything over 300 is massive, let alone 496 horsepower!
Dive Into the New Generation of Dodge Muscle
Dodge has said the Charger will offer front and rear “electric drive modules,” or motors, with the rear motor gaining a mechanical slip differential for unmatched traction. Fitted is a 400-volt architecture and a 100.5 kWh battery pack, set for estimated mileage of 317 miles for the R/T and 260 miles for the higher-performance Charger Daytona Scat Pack.
Dodge including gas-powered engines is a plus for many buyers, but not what the brand had mentioned for quite a long span before that, now changing their mind to opt with the choice of both. Dodge added the Charger with both including “multi-energy powertrain options with the 550-horsepower Charger Sixpack HO model”, powered by a 3.0-LifTwin Turbo Hurricane “high output” six-cylinder engine, and the 420-horsepower Dodge Charger Sixpack SO model, using a detuned version of that engine. This mod is dubbed the Twin Turbo Hurricane “standard output” engine. The Hurricane engines are Stellantis’ new inline six-cylinder engines that work with twin turbos for enhanced strength. The Scat Pack is set to be the top Dodge performance muscle ride until the SRT Banshee joins the new lineup in 2025. By spring 2025, Dodge will also be nearing entry of Charger Sixpacks: Two- and four-door Chargers built on the same platforms and bodies as the EVs but with gas powertrains instead. Production should have everything set for the 2025 class to contend with anything going on in the last two decades of Dodge dominating.
Jump Into the New (Soon)
This is all part of the measure to see success in 2026 when Dodge is extending its push within its technology. The next effort will offer a single rear motor with 335 horsepower and 314-lb-ft of torque. The all-new Daytona will debut for now providing the option of a second motor, as well as a 100.5-kW lithium-ion battery with nickel, cobalt and aluminum chemistry and peak discharge rate of 550 kW at a time when 320 kW is a solid Measure.
Dodge’s parent Stellantis is in the early stages of its Dare Forward 2030 transformation plan, which will attempt for 50% EV sales in the US by 2030. CEO Carlos Tavares has been more reserved than other CEOs when setting up the Stellantis’ EV resources as Stellantis is reevaluating its EV costs in 2027 ahead of reallocating further capital.
