35th Anniversary of Chrysler Minivan’s Family-Hauling
By no means did Chrysler invent the minivan but with 35 years in the market, it sure did popularize it. In 1984 they launched the original Plymouth Voyager and Dodge Caravan creating the minivan segment we know today. To commemorate the birthday of the modern minivan, Chrysler rolled out two special-edition versions of its current vans at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show (February 9th- February 18th).
SPECIAL EDITIONS?:
The Anniversary Editions will be offered in hybrid and non-hybrid versions. The Pacifica Hybrid will be available as the 35th Anniversary Edition on Touring L and Limited trim levels. The versions: Touring L, Touring L Plus and Limited trim levels will have the 35th Anniversary badge displayed on the outside. It will also have liquid chrome Chrysler wing badges and gloss black trim on the front fascia and rear liftgate. Fascia often refers to the decorative panels of the car’s dashboard, or the dashboard assembly.
EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR:
With the Anniversary Edition, customers will have the option to purchase an optional S Appearance package which adds a black grille, headlight accents, rear valance molding, badges and wheels to the exterior. The inside will have a sleek black interior and Cranberry Wine accent stitching on the Nappa leather seats, steering wheel, and door panels. The 35th Anniversary logo will also be embroidered into the front floor mats.
But there is more with this edition. Chrysler can throw in some extra equipment, such as 20-inch wheels on the Pacifica Limited. There are also 10 different paint options available to choose from.
