Chevy Introduces New Special Edition Packages – Miami Lakes Automall Chevrolet

Chevrolet, a brand that has listened to the feedback from consumers, is announcing some additions to their vehicle stock. Chevy will increase the availability of the 6.2-Liter V8 engine within its full-size SUV lineup with the debut of the 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban Premier Plus special editions. The 6.2-Liter V8 first arrived in the Chevy full-size SUV lineup on the 2018 Tahoe RST 6.2-Liter Performance Package. Chevy has always been about building vehicles their customers will want. These packages show us those changes are evident in the latest All Premier Plus edition Chevy full-size SUVs. Chevy also announced that customers can get their hands on the RST Premier models with the optional 6.2-Liter Performance Package. These vehicles include Magnetic Ride Control with performance calibration and a Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic transmission.

“Our customers have shown strong demand for both Tahoe and Suburban with the 6.2-Liter V8 option. Thirty-six percent of all Chevy full-size SUV special edition models are now sold with this engine. The 2019 Chevy Tahoe and 2019 Chevy Suburban Premier Plus editions feature a fabulously rich interior with ventilated black and mahogany-colored leather-appointed front seats (that also include heating features) in surrounding Jet Black trim. This luxurious two-tone interior and the 22-inch polished wheels debut with this new package in Chevy’s full-size SUV lineup. The Special Edition trims carry gold Chevrolet “bowtie” logos, chrome nameplate badging, a heads-up display, an 8-inch diagonal cluster, cross rails, chrome power steps, exhaust tips and a Chevrolet-branded cargo organizer. Connectivity is provided by a standard 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and the Premier Plus package includes a 12-month data plan.

Chevy has implemented new features for 2019, including a 10-speed automatic transmission to provide smaller steps between each ratio to maximize engine power under acceleration. A broad 7.39 overall gear ratio spread and lower numerical top gear ratio, the transmission also decreases engine revolutions at highway speeds and this conserses gas as less work equals less energy consumed. Included is the Magnetic Ride Control,an active suspension that tracks the road to account for every ding along the way every millisecond, triggering damping changes in the electronically controlled shock absorbers in as few as 10-15 milliseconds. As a result, the suspension presents improved body-motion control during cornering and a more pleasant ride while cruising.

The available 6.2-Liter V8 was built to be strong and modern, hitting 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The engine delivers three state-of-the-art technologies. These technologies include direct injection, Active Fuel Management, and continuously variable valve timing — making the most of torque, power and efficiency across a wide range of operating conditions. Chevy has thought of everything to make the ride even better with their vehicles. The result? Kelley Blue Book lists the Chevy Tahoe as one of these 5-Year Cost to Own Award winners. The 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier Plus, boasting a Best-in-class V8 highway fuel economy, starts at $74,100 MSRP (plus destination fee), while the 2019 Chevrolet Suburban Premier Plus will start at $76,900 MSRP (plus destination fee).
