A Look At The 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1
The all-powerful 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 is finally here. With over 1,000 horsepower, the 2025 ZR1 is the fastest Corvette ever produced. Equipped with a new twin-turbo 5.5L V8 engine, the Chevy Corvette ZR1 hails as one of the most powerful iterations yet. Chevy has teased the supercar for some time, boasting of its performance and capability. Consumers will be happy to know the ZR1 will enter production in 2025. Details about pre-orders will arrive soon but for now, we’ll dive right into Chevy’s most powerful Corvette ever.Â
A New Type Of Corvette, The ZR1
Chevrolet’s fastest and most powerful Corvette is here. The 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 arrives with a brand-new twin-turbo 5.5L V8 engine that delivers 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque. With the ZR1, Chevy went all out. The sports car uses a flat-plane-crank engine design equipped with a new intake system. The V8 engine features twin turbochargers as well as a secondary port fuel-injection system. Not stopping there, Chevy’s engineers included new head castings with machined ports and combustion chambers. Topping it all off is the revamped 8-speed dual-clutch transmission which features upgraded inner and outer input shafts, increased gear capacity, and improved oil management.
Focused on improving speed and aerodynamics, the 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 features General Motors’ magnetic ride control suspension. The sports car’s body design has also been designed for performance with its flow-through hood, front underwing, and carbon fiber splitter. The ZR1 features carbon-fiber side ducts with integrated brake cooling for improved airflow management. At the rear, the ZR1 features inlets near the rear hatch and a spoiler. The overall design of the sports car lends itself to impressive aerodynamics with its lowered center of gravity. An optional ZTK package ups the ante with a high-downforce rear wing, stiffer springs, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.
Inside the 2025 ZR1, consumers will find a similar interior design as the Z06 with some added details. The Chevy Corvette ZR1 features unique badging, new stitch patterns, and a boost gauge that displays the car’s turbochargers. A large infotainment screen is angled toward the driver with buttons along the top of the console. For safety, the ZR1 will likely mirror the Z06 with features like emergency braking and lane departure warnings. Chevy did not speak on the 0 to 60 mph time however the automaker did boast that the ZR1 manages to sprint a quarter mile in less than 10 seconds. The automaker also mentioned a top speed of over 215 mph. Production of the most powerful Corvette is set to start in 2025. Pricing will start at an MSRP of about $180,000 (plus destination fee). While Chevy has produced many greats like the Z06 and hybrid E-Ray, the 2025 Corvette ZR1 sits atop the hill with its stunning debut.Â
