Mitsubishi Motors is currently updating all of the vehicles in its lineup as it works towards plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles with the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. That being said, two vehicles in the lineup are feeling a little forgotten. This means, aside from small changes, the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 will be mostly the same for 2023.

The lineup for the 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 has changed a bit this year. There is a total of four trims, with ES coming with two transmission options – ES, LE, BE, and SE. Other than that, the entire lineup is powered by a 1.2-liter Inline 3-cylinder DOHC engine optimized with MIVEC, Mitsubishi Motors own variable valve timing (VVT) technology. This is for improved performance and fuel efficiency. Last recorded output numbers were 76 horsepower and 75 lb-ft of torque.
The Mirage G4 ES comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission. This paring offers the vehicle a fuel economy 33/40 mpg city/highway. On the rest of the lineup, optional upgrade on the ES, is Mitsubishi Motors’ INVECS-III Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The fuel economy for this setup is 35/41mpg city/highway.
The same standard features return for the 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage G4, such as halogen headlights, LED taillights, and a rear spoiler. Automatic headlights and fog lights start on the BE trim, with automatic high beams on the SE as well. LED headlights and side mirrors with turn signal indicators are also only available on the SE trim. 14-inch steel wheels are the standard for the ES trim, but the rest of the lineup comes equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels.
Standard features throughout the lineup consist of a 6-way adjustable driver seat, 4-way adjustable passenger seat, automatic climate control, steering wheel-mounted audio and phone controls, rear heater ducts. Cloth is the standard upholstery. Leather upholstery can only be found on the SE trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob can be found on the BE and SE trim. Heated front seats are standard on the SE trim only. The BE can come with red cloth door inserts.
Future vehicles are going to be getting some crazy tech in the coming years, such as a Google-powered infotainment system and a vehicle that is more software than machine. Until then, a 7-inch smartphone-link display audio system is still the standard, equipped with four speakers, AM/FM Radio, Bluetooth wireless technology, and Google Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Safety Features and Warranty
The 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 comes with many basic safety features, including an advanced dual-stage airbags (including the driver’s knee airbag), anti-locking brakes, active stability control, three-point seatbelts, a LATCH child seat tether system, a rearview camera, and an anti-theft engine immobilizer. Advanced safety feature forward collision mitigation system with pedestrian control is standard on all trims. Only the SE trim comes with lane departure warning.
