2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross
Mitsubishi Motors has been working on a new plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle (EV), but is also updating its current lineup before making the transition. Major updates came for many models for the 2022 model year, and will continue to enhance the consumer experience while we wait for something sporty that’s also electric. Able to relive some of the old days of Mitsubishi rally cars, the Eclipse Cross is a crossover that brings back the nameplate in a new way. Still topping sales charts for the automaker, the Eclipse Cross returns for 2023. Check out the new specs below.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross comes with ES, LE, the SE, and the SEL trims. Package add-ons are also available for the SE and SEL. Powering all trims is a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine able to generate 152 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system is now a lineup standard.
Driving and Handling
Power is transferred through an 8-speed continuously variable transmission (CVT). The entire powertrain is a lineup standard and lends itself to the same fuel economy for every trim. The 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross has a fuel economy of 26/29 mpg city/highway.

Exterior Features
The 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is lit with LED headlamps and fog lights, daytime running LED lights, color- LED rear taillights, and an LED high mount stop light – all standard. Rear privacy glass, roof rails, heated exterior mirrors, are also still standard features. The SE comes with automatic headlights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Eclipse Cross ES trim rides on 16-inch wheels, and the rest of the lineup comes equipped with 18-inch wheels. A new 18-inch wheel alloy design has been added this year. Packages can be added to the SE and SEL to include a power panoramic sunroof and black roof rails.
Interior Features
Standard features returning for 2023 are a 60/40 split-rear bench, a six-way adjustable driver seat, four-way adjustable passenger seat, automatic climate control, and a drive mode selector. Past the base trim, the 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross includes heated front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with voice control. The SE improves with an 8-way power driver seat, synthetic suede upholstery, an artificial leather-wrapped shift knob, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The SEL trim comes with paddle shifters, leather upholstery, an 8-way power passenger seat, and a heated steering wheel. A Touring Package for the SEL adds heated rear seats, a heads-up display, and an auto-dimming mirror with Homelink®.

Entertainment
The standard tech setup is a 7.0-inch touchscreen, HD Radio, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and a four-speaker sound system. Upgrades start with the LE trim, changing to an 8-inch touchscreen with a smartphone-link display system (SDA), Google Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Eclipse Cross SE adds Mitsubishi Connect, navigation, and a six-speaker system (eight-speaker system on the SEL with the Touring Package).
Safety Features and Warranty
The 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross comes with many standard safety features, including side curtain airbags, front-seat-mounted airbags, a driver’s knee airbag, advanced dual-stage front airbags, three-point seatbelts complete with head restraints, traction control, active stability control, and hill start assist.
Advanced safety features that come standard include a forward collision mitigation system and lane departure warning system with pedestrian detection. The SE and SEL trims come with blind-spot warning system, lane change assist, and a rear cross-traffic alert system. The SEL trims Touring package adds a lane departure warning system with pedestrian detection at high speed and adaptive cruise control.
All 2023 Mitsubishi models come with a basic 5-year/60,000-mile warranty. It also has a limited powertrain warranty for 10-years/100,000 miles and an anti-corrosion warranty for 7-years/100,000 miles. Finally, roadside assistance comes with a 5-year warranty.
