Performance

Power The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has only three trims for the new model year – SEL, LE, and GT. Each trim is powered by an AC synchronous permanent magnetic motor with a 60kW motor in the front and a 70kW motor in the rear, and a 2.4 liter inline-four-cylinder engine able to generate 126 horsepower. Together, it’s about 300 horsepower, give or take. Converting kW to HP can be tricky. The same can be said for the collective torque, around 390 lb-ft.

* Engineering * Able to use a 120V or 240V, the charging time for the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander can take all day or half an hour with CHAdeMO DC Fastcharge. If installing a 240V outlet at home, the 2022 Outlander takes 4 hours to charge, and is the perfect setup. Driving range is TBD for the 2022 model, but in 2021 the Outlander PHEV could travel for 24 miles on just electric energy at a top speed of 83 mph.
