Performance
Engine Type Available in four trims – ES, LE, Carbonite Edition, and SE. All trims are powered by a 1.2L MIVEC DOHC engine. Optimized with Mitsubishi Motors’ brand of variable valve timing technology (VVT), this engine is capable of generating 78 horsepower and 74 lb-ft of torque.
Driving and Handling The ES trim can come with a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is standard on the rest of the lineup. With the manual transmission, the 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage has a fuel economy of 33 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. Otherwise, consumers can expect 36 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway.
Style
Exterior Features Although redesigned for 2022, the Carbonite Edition still stands out with a new Carbon pattern on the grille, side airdam, and rear airdam. Sporty sleek LED headlights are available on high end trims like the SE, with the rest of the lineup outfitted with halogen headlights and LED taillights. Depending on the trim, consumers may have the choice of 14- or 15-inch wheels.
Interior Features Similar to past model years, many standard features can be found in the 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage, such as a 6-way adjustable driver seat, 4-way adjustable passenger seat, a split-rear bench seat, automatic climate control, rear heater floor ducts, steering wheel audio and phone controls, and steering wheel voice recognition control.
