Engine Type All trims have the standard 3.6-liter v6 engine with a fantastic 310 horsepower and 266 torque. The engine also has a 9-speed automatic transmission. The fuel economy for all trims is 18/27 mpg (city/highway) for a FWD and 17/25 mpg for an AWD.
Driving and Handling The 2020 Traverse can be quite an enjoyable ride, as the powerful v6 engine and transmission make the SUV more than ideal to drive for the daily commute. It also comes equipped with Traction Mode Select, which allows drivers to adjust the vehicle’s performance on challenging road surfaces. Exterior features on the base L trim include 18-inch aluminum wheels, a compact spare tire, capless fuel fill, automatic headlights, and heated side mirrors. The LS trim is quite similar to the L trim, except that it includes dark-tinted rear privacy glass. It’s recommended to upgrade to at least an LT Cloth trim, as the base and LS trim don’t include all exterior colors. Drivers will enjoy more exterior features such as fog lights, automatic hi-beam headlights, rear-camera mirror, chrome door handles, auto-dimming side-mirror glass, hands-free-power rear liftgate, 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, dual-pane glass sunroof, and bright front sill plates. Interior Features Jet Black is the standard color for the 2020 Traverse but most trims offer a Dark Galvanized/ dark grey as an alternative or a Medium Ash Grey over Dark Atmosphere/brown. Standard features starting on the base L trim include 8 passenger seats with premium-cloth upholstery, triple-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and a rear-seat reminder system.
