Engine Type The 2019 Outlander Sport has a 148-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The engine upgrade of 168-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder will give drivers a quicker acceleration. Standard with the base engine is the five-speed manual transmission but there’s also a smooth-shifting continuously variable automatic transmission is also available in the base trim and its standard in all higher trim levels.
