Why Pickup Truck Buyers Love RAM
There are many reasons that truck buyers keep coming back to Dodge RAM dealers time and time again.
RAM trucks stand out for their style and comfort -- traits that aren't abundant in the truck market. Most truck designs focus on power and cargo capacity (which RAMS also have plenty of), but they sacrifice the finer points that make driving the truck enjoyable, such as how the truck looks and feels.
RAM trucks offer a smooth and comfortable ride in all types of conditions. In fact, Edmunds recommended the 2015 RAM 1500 in the "light duty" category in its 2015 Truck Buying Guide for quiet and comfortable ride. Edmunds also recommended the 2015 RAM 2500 and 3500 in the "heavy duty" category for its classy interior and smooth ride.
RAM was also the highest ranking brand that makes trucks in the 2014 J.D. Power U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study. It was four spots higher than the next brand that creates pickup trucks, which was Chevrolet.
Of course, RAM buyers also love these trucks for their power and their dependability. Even the light-duty RAM 1500 comes with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that can put out 305 horse power and 269 pounds per feet of torque. That's enough power to pull you through just about any type of terrain easily. In addition, the 1500 has a max payload of 1,900 pounds and a max towing capacity of 10,650 pounds.
Those numbers only go up when you look at the RAM 2500 or the RAM 3500, which are bigger and more heavy duty.
RAM also caters to commercial interests who have bigger needs than the standard consumer. The RAM Chassis Cab is one of the strongest trucks on the market, and the RAM Promaster City and RAM Promaster offer plenty of cargo space with power.
Whatever style of truck you need, you can find the power, style and price you need with a RAM truck. You can visit a Dodge RAM dealer at any time of year to find an exceptional selection of quality, award-winning trucks. You'll also have an array of financing options to help you get the terms to fit your budget.
Coming Soon: 2016 RAM 1500 Laramie Limited
Though RAM's regular offerings are limited to a lean yet quality selection, the auto maker occasionally issues a special release that sets the market abuzz. Next year, that will be the 2016 RAM 1500 Laramie Limited.
Just one look at the Laramie Limited, and you can see that it's not the same old 1500. Special styling gives the truck a sophisticated look akin to a luxury SUV. The oversized grille features a prominent RAM logo, and chrome accents create an interesting element to the design. The Laramie Limited isn't short on chrome: In fact, it is used throughout the exterior design, creating an overall more flashy appearance for the truck.
The Laramie Limited is a luxury truck through and through. Inside, you'll find real wood trim, leather seating with accent piping and French stitching, and a sophisticated monochromatic color scheme. The extended cab includes seating for four, and the advanced suspension and other mechanics for which RAM is known made for a quiet and smooth ride.
The center console is covered in leather and features a special edition badge. The console includes auxiliary and USB ports, a cell phone holder, and plenty of space for storage. The dash includes gauges lined with chrome, grey accent stitching, an 8.4-inch touch screen for the Uconnect system, and a gorgeous layout.
The steering wheel, rear pillar handles and door trim are all wrapped in leather.
The Laramie Limited doesn't just look pretty. As befitting a RAM truck, it is also very powerful. We still don't have specifics on the engine or performance, but last year's Laramie Limited had a HEMI V8 and an optional diesel engine, both of which put out plenty of ponies. We do know that this year's Laramie Limited will have an eight-speed automatic transmission, and we expect it to have an engine that is as powerful if not more so than last year's model.
Standard features on the new Laramie Limited include air suspension, remote start, heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats, and a backup camera.
Pricing on the 2016 Laramie Limited is expected to start at $50,675. The current Laramie Limited starts at $49,320 for the rear-wheel drive model, and the four-wheel drive version starts at $52,575.
The new Laramie Limited should be available in the next few months, so now is the perfect time to visit your local RAM truck dealers to learn more and find out if you can make a deposit or get on a notification list.
The One and Only EcoDiesel
RAM is the first, and so far only, automaker to introduce an EcoDiesel engine for a light-duty truck. The engine runs on diesel fuel, and it helps to improve fuel economy and torque while also reducing harmful emissions.
The engine is a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6, and it is made of graphite iron and aluminum. The engine also comes with B20 biodiesel capability, which improves its performance and fuel efficiency.
The EcoDiesel engine is featured on the RAM 1500 HFE, and it boasts a fuel economy of 29 mpg on the highway -- which is the best fuel economy of any current full-size truck on the market. The Ford F-150 only gets 25 mpg with its EcoBoost engine, and the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 only gets 23 mpg with its EcoTec3 engine.
Though a few miles might not seem like a lot, they can add up over time. Depending on how much you drive, you could save hundreds of dollars per year in gas with the RAM 1500 HFE. You'll also have to stop a lot less frequently for gas, which will make everything from running errands to taking a road trip a bit easier.
The EcoDiesel engine is just one reason that the RAM 1500 has been named the Motor Trend Truck of the Year for the last two years.
RAM has plenty to offer, no matter what your driving needs. Now is the perfect time to visit your local RAM truck dealers. New models are getting ready to make their debut, and many dealers are ready to start marking down their current inventory to make room.
