The trucks wars feel as if they’re never-ending. Right when we think there’s some breathing room between the big three truck manufacturers (Ram, Ford, and Chevrolet), a new feature appears and we soar to new heights. The latest innovative feature? It’s all about multifunction tailgates, a rather innocuous part of a pickup until recently when they became a hotbed of invention. The feature race began when GMC introduced a MultiPro tailgate on its Sierra 1500 pickup last year (2018), but Ram is ready to call their bluff with their latest introduction – a Multifunction tailgate that goes above and beyond is due in dealerships this Spring.
