What makes the upcoming Ram ProMaster lineup special is how innovative their lineup is over other brands. Each year, these vehicles become stronger, lighter and better vehicles to own. Perfect for business owners, the Ram ProMaster is a great choice to help grow your business and handle the work you need done. With more space added and increased options, let’s go over why the newest Ram ProMaster commercial vehicles are better and stronger than ever. The new Ram ProMaster trucks are also looking as sleek as can be. Let’s go over why!
Sleeker and Stronger For a Reason
These new Ram ProMaster vans are lighter and more aerodynamic with an available eTorque small electric assistive motor that is available addition to the 3.6-Liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-Liter HEMI V8 engine options. This torque provides up to 90 lb-ft of torque over last year’s model for the V6 and up to 130 lb-ft of torque in short-term torque, boosting fuel efficiency for the gasoline engines.
More Maximum Payload Means More Results
Have a lot of work to do? Good. The Ram ProMaster is here to help. With a payload increase that allows for more cargo hauling and strength, the jobs will get done fast in the new Ram. 2019 Ram ProMaster 1500 allows up to 4,000 pounds for a maximum payload. The ProMaster 2500 moved up to 4,230 pounds and the newest ProMaster 3500 is up 240 pounds to 4,680 pounds of maximum payload. The Ram ProMaster boasts Best-in-class maximum-payload, way more than the Ford Transit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
With a greater maximum towing capacity, up to 6,800 pounds for the 1500, the 2019 ProMaster is definitely stronger the previous model year and only costs $30,195 (plus destination fee) for the 2019 base model. The 2019 Ram ProMaster also costs significantly less than rivals Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ford Transit. When it comes to adding a new commercial van to your fleet, just know the latest Ram ProMaster now performs with greater strength and payload capacity at a friendly cost for owners.
More Ram, Please
Ram fans can show off their Ram ProMaster like never before with the addition of the RAM script on the front of the grille for certain trims. Already boasting the Best-in-class cargo height, width and lowest floor height, the Ram ProMaster has introduced the 126-inch wheelbase that includes a low roof for the 2500 trim. Ram’s light duty and heavy duty pickup trucks are the backbone of the truck industry. Setting records and a trusted brand by many companies, Ram continues to do more for the business and the community. They designed a truck just for the farmers of America with the Ram Harvest Edition and continue to make stylish models for people who want to give their truck a little attitude, like the Ram Hydro Blue. Then there’s Ram cargo vans like the Ram ProMaster and ProMaster City. They come with many designs to make nearly anything possible.
The many interior designs for the Ram ProMaster and ProMaster City are known as “upfits.” We discuss them a little it in detail in our Ram ProMaster Cargo Van and Upfits article, but today we’re going to look at the many ways they can be used. We’ll be discussing the following:
The Trades Interior Upfit that transforms a cargo van’s empty cargo area into an organized mobile workshop and warehouse with storage.
The Ram ProMaster is a large van available in four configurations, a cargo van, cutaway van, chassis cab and window van, and a number of upfits, but there’s one upfit that truly makes the Ram ProMaster unlike any other cargo van on the market.
Roadtrek, is an RV outfitter and they saw potential to transform Ram ProMaster vans into mobile living spaces, and one of Roadtrek’s creations is here in South Florida. Local resident Bob Barnard bought a RoadTrek Zion RV (Class B) in 2015 and he and his wife regularly use it for all of the activities and events they do with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Road Runners Club.
The RoadTrek Zion RV is built off the Ram ProMaster chassis cab platform and it is a Class B motor home, which means the vehicle does not have a slide out that expands the interior of the vehicle when parked. The van has two front seats for the driver and a passenger, and the cargo space features built-in storage cabinets, a small kitchen, bathroom, sofa and bed. The van gives Bob and his wife a comfortable retreat when organizing events at all hours of the day.
The RoadTrek Zio RV offers all of the functionality of an RV, but it’s smaller size makes it much easier to drive easier to drive and get where you need to go and it does not have the same parking dilemmas that come along with large Class A or Class B motorhomes. Additionally, the van is a member of the Ram family and it is powered by the award-winning 3.6-liter V6 engine, so it is durable, efficient and long lasting and it is equipped with a 12V AGM battery with up to 182Ah, so the battery lasts for hours before needing to be recharged.
The Ram ProMaster and ProMaster City are two different commercial vans offered by Ram and the best van for you depends on your business needs. For companies that need a large organized space for cargo, work equipment or even a mobile office, the larger ProMaster van is probably what you need.
2017 Ram ProMaster
Ram designed the Ram ProMaster to have best-in-class cargo capacity, which totals more than 460 cubic feet of cargo space. Other best-in-class features for the ProMaster include its 36-foot turning diameter and a cargo height of 65.4-inches and its class exclusive front-wheel-drive system.
Ram is killin’ it, as always! It isn’t even 2017 and Ram’s 2017 model year trucks and vans are already taking home awards. Both the 2017 Ram 1500 and the 2017 Ram ProMaster City were awarded with prestigious titles from two reputable sources,The Green Car Journal and Consumers Digest.
Consumers Digest presented Ram with the title of “Best Buy of 2017” in the pickup truck segment. The Ram 1500 deserves this award for many reasons. Starting with the fact that the Ram 1500 HFE EcoDiesel produces up to 29 mpg, which is the best-in-class fuel economy by far. Not to mention, the Ram 1500 offers a vast amount of trim options, from the work horse Ram 1500 Tradesman, to the fuel efficient Ram 1500 HFE, to the off-road demon, the Ram 1500 Rebel. There is a truck for everyone, and every purpose.
The Ram 1500 doesn’t just lead its class in fuel economy, but also in several other categories. Ram 1500 trucks are America’s longest lasting trucks according to FCA and that’s impressive. Also, the Ram 1500 leads the class in categories including handling, storage, and performance.
