Upcoming Ram Rebel TRX Will Crush the Raptor

Friday, May 29th, 2020

Easter eggs, no, not the traditional ones you’re thinking of, are all the rage right now with brands like Jeep experiencing a wave of popularity online over a few viral Tik Tok videos. With the upcoming debut and long-awaited reveal of the Ram Rebel TRX, the truck maker looks like it’s ready for another cheeky Easter egg inclusion. Since the TRX model is naturally designed as an answer to Ford’s Raptor model, Ram thought they’d have a little fun at the competition’s expense. Even though leaked images have popped up in online forums, the pickup is usually covered in very heavy camouflage to keep that element of surprise alive.  (more…)

FCA Restarts Ram 1500 Production With a Bang

Thursday, May 21st, 2020

It’s a new world for Ram Trucks employees as they return to manufacturing plants to build 2020 Ram 1500 pickups. The plants just reopened post-quarantine, but the employees have plenty of new rules to abide by as they work to build new vehicles and stay safe from Coronavirus at the same time. Open for one shift daily, the truck plants in Warren and Sterling Heights, Michigan, are seeing a slow-but-firm revamp of manufacturing. If the virus can be kept at bay, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is programming to add other shifts in a couple of weeks — only time will tell. Despite all the changes, FCA remains focused on manufacturing and assembling more Ram 1500 pickups to avoid a shortage in the near future.  (more…)

Many have wondered when Ram would cease production of the Ram 1500 Classic and it looks like the truck maker isn’t going to stop production anytime soon.  (more…)

Friday, July 12th, 2019

Pickup owners are known for their loyalty, but every once in a while a new truck comes into the market that entices diehard devotees to change things up. Not long ago it would’ve been wild if someone mentioned that perpetually third-ranked Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) would pass Chevrolet in full-size pickup sales. It was nearly unthinkable, but the truth is Ram already passed Chevrolet during the first half of 2019 after several years of steady market share gains that were effectively pushed over the edge by the redesigned 2019 Ram 1500. Even Ford, the reigning champ of the pickup market, referred to a “very competitive” market when reporting a slip in F-Series sales after the second quarter of 2019.  (more…)

Truck makers have to go above and beyond nowadays to stay competitive in the U.S. truck market. Towing capacity accompanied by overwhelming torque figures and brute engines under the hood isn’t enough to sell trucks anymore. The next battleground for truck makers? Dashboard display screens much bigger than the average are what’s winning over truck owners now. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) was ahead of the curve with this feature as the automaker provided an Apple iPad-inspired 12-inch touchscreen in the center console on its redesigned 2019 Ram 1500 pickup.
