In its latest collaboration, Ram Truck is joined by Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters. Ram’s new multimedia campaign titled “Spotlight” gets the job done with three new videos that cover television, digital, and the Ram Truck brand social media channels. The campaign kicks off prior to Mother’s Day and coincides with the release of lead singer Dave Grohl’s “From Cradle to Stage” unscripted series. The spot was inspired by Grohl’s mother, Virginia Hanlon Grohl, and her critically acclaimed book. “From Cradle to Stage” follows Grohl’s previous directorial efforts with “What Drives Us,” a documentary that Grohl described as “a love letter to every musician that has ever jumped in an old van with their friends and left it all behind for the simple reward of playing music.” (more…)
Now that the 2019 Ram 1500 has debuted, other Ram truck models will start to debut as well. Most likely, the Ram 2500 and 3500 will get updates soon enough. Although there hasn’t been a whole lot of news surrounding 2018 Ram 2500 or the Ram 3500, both trucks shine on their own. So much so, that Ram incorporated the heavy duty trucks into several limited edition packages over the course of 2017 for the 2018 model year.
Ram 2500 and 3500
Able to powered by one of three engines for the 2018 Ram 2500 and two engines for the 2018 Ram 3500, both heavy duty pickup trucks have the powerful and legendary 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel Inline-six cylinder engine in their arsenal. Able to generate up to 370 horsepower and 800 lb-ft of torque on the 2018 Ram 2500, 385 horsepower and 930 lb-ft of torque on the 2018 Ram 3500, this engine provides some incredible towing power. Properly equipped, the 2018 Ram 2500 can tow up to 17,980 pounds and carry a payload of 3160 pounds. The 2018 Ram 3500 heavy duty pickup truck recently recorded a best-in-class fifth-wheel towing capacity of 30,000 pounds!
With Christmas season in full effect, many people are still running around to make sure everything is accounted for before the big day arrives. Christmas shopping is always a big concern and so is the Christmas tree. Do you have a vehicle that can easily (and safely) transport your Christmas tree? Do you have a vehicle to bring home those big and heavy items on your Christmas list? Every driver can do all of that do with ease with a Ram 2500 crew cab.
One of the biggest conveniences that the 2018 Ram 2500 crew cab offers is the 6’4” truck bed. A 6’4” truck bed has plenty of room for a huge Christmas tree and all of the big presents, like an outdoor grill, bicycle or large tools, that are on your list.
Feeling really festive and going to cut down your own tree like Clark Griswold and his family did in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation? You definitely need a Ram 2500 with a 6’4” truck bed as well as four-wheel-drive to track through the snow. You can also use the two built-in storage boxes that are included with the RamBox Cargo Management system to store your saw and other supplies.
Not only does the 2018 Ram 2500 crew cab have a large truck bed, but the interior is very spacious. Standard seating in all 2018 Ram 2500 crew cab trims is 40/20/40 split bench seating, and bucket seats are an available option on all trims except the Tradesman. In terms of storage space, the interior cabin of the Ram 2500 Tradesman and SLT trims are equipped with rear folding seats and all trims have rear under seat storage compartments.
The Ram 2500’s entertainment features are also pretty amazing for Christmas tunes. Standard features on the Ram 2500 Laramie, Laramie Longhorn and Limited trims are an 8.4-inch touchscreen, nine Alpine speakers with subwoofers, and Apple CarPlay/Android capabilities. Finally, all trim levels, except the Ram 2500 Tradesman, come with a complimentary one-year subscription to SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
Of course, when transporting a huge Christmas tree or everyday cargo, one of the most important features is safety. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is standard on all trims and can sense the difference between the driver’s intended path and the actual path the vehicle is traveling, according to Ram. Another standard safety feature is the ParkView rear Backup Camera – because who wouldn’t need additional help when parking this monster of a truck!?
Additional standard safety features include supplemental front seat-mounted and side-curtain airbags and Sentry Key theft deterrent system which allows drivers to protect their vehicle from unauthorized operations. According to Ram, by using an encoded ignition key with an embedded electronic chip programmed to operate the vehicle, the system will shut off the engine in about two seconds if someone attempts to use an invalid key – so you don’t even need to worry about the Grinch trying to ruin your holiday.
Buyers really can’t go wrong with the 2018 Ram 2500 Crew Cab when it comes to space, convenience, and safety. Interested in test driving a 2018 Ram 2500? If you haven’t done your research before heading into a Ram dealership, you may assume that the 2016 Ram 1500 will fulfill all of your automotive needs. While the 1500 is certainly a capable vehicle, many customers may overlook the 2500 for the uptick in price. However, that customer would be doing themselves quite the disservice, especially when it comes to the pickup’s interior features.
