Features and Add-Ons for a New Ram 1500

If you purchase a new Ram 1500, there are many features and packages a buyer can add depending on their style and entertainment wants and needs. Some popular features and packages available with a new Ram purchase include UConnect upgrades, the Popular Entertainment group, Luxury group, and Black Appearance package. Each on of these packages are only available on select trims.

Black Appearance Package

The Black Appearance group package, which is optional on the 1500 Express trim, includes lots of features that add darker and a more aggressive look to a new Ram truck. The package includes all black accessories. The appearance package includes 20-inch semi-gloss black aluminum wheels, a 4×4 flat black badge, black headlamp bezels, a black painted honeycomb grille, a black Ram head tailgate badge and a semi-gloss black center cap.

UConnect Upgrades and Systems

UConnect is the entertainment system  available on vehicles made by the various brands owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The Ram 1500 Tradesman, the base 1500 trim, comes standard with an FM/Am radio, however buyers can upgrade to a 5.0 Uconnect system. The 5.0 Uconnect system includes a 5.0-inch screen with SiriusXM capability, and FM/AM radio. This system comes standard on the 1500 SLT.

There is also an upgraded 8.4 Uconnect system available on other 1500 trims. The  biggest difference between the 5.0 Uconnect and the 8.4 Uconnect system is the size, however the 8.4 Uconnect system can also be paired to a backup camera and navigation as well. The Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport is is Ram’s second yellow special-edition car introduced in 2016, however, the first special-edition truck color, ‘Yellow Rose of Texas” is only available for purchase in Texas. The Yellow Stinger is modeled Special-Edition Yellow Stinger Ram 1500 Sport Miami Lakes Ram from the Rumble Bee, which was a Ram truck inspired by the Dodge Super Bee, a special trim that was seen exclusively on Dodge muscle cars from the past.

The Ram 1500 Yellow Stinger is only offered as a crew cab, but it is available as a 4X2 or 4X4. The brightly colored special-edition Ram 1500 is powered by a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 that produces 395 horsepower.Each Stinger Yellow Sport is equipped with an 8.4 inch UConnect screen, and dark black leather upholstery with yellow accents.
