5 Special Features About the 2022 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Firefighter Edition

The 2022 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Firefighter Edition is part of Ram’s Built to Serve lineup. This lineup is dedicated to those who put their lives on the line to save and rescue others. Previously, Ram offered a similar lineup for branches of the United States armed forces. Now, the automaker is honoring first responders. Ram is dedicating its second Built to Serve lineup to police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel. The trucks come custom-made with exterior cues, interior upholstery, and features that aid each specific profession. One of the first trucks to release was the Firefighter Edition so we’ll take a look at 5 special features that set the truck apart and honor the nation’s first responders.

  1. Ram Built to Serve Firefighter Edition Features Unique Equipment

The 2022 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Firefighter Edition arrives with standard off-road equipment like 20-inch all-terrain tires, tow hooks, hill descent control, skid plates, and shock absorbers. This is to help owners traverse tough terrain. The light-duty pickup truck also features unique equipment to help first responders accomplish their job. For firefighters, the Ram 1500 Built to Serve Firefighter Edition features embroidered velcro panels on the front seats as well as velcro on the inboard shoulder panel. This is to hold any patches, tapes, or memorabilia that are special to the first responders. The front seat back panels also feature Pouch Attachment Laddy System webbing to hold special equipment.

  1. Ram’s Top-Class Technology

The Ram 1500 Built to Serve Edition pickup trucks offer top-of-the-line technology. As one of the top truck brands, Ram’s pickup truck features a 12-inch touchscreen that is easy and simple to use. The light-duty pickup also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot. Drivers can also make use of a 360-degree camera to see all their surroundings. For entertainment, there’s SiriusXM and Alexa Assistant.

  1. Unique Color Options

As part of the Built to Serve lineup, the Ram 1500 Firefighter Edition receives two exclusive exterior paint options. These include Diamond Black and Redline. These colors aim to honor firefighters by distinguishing them within the Built to Serve lineup. Ram also paints the wheel flares of the pickup truck to match the exclusive body paint. Along with the unique colors, the Ram pickup comes with a US flag and Built to Serve Decal on the rear quarter panels.

  1. Top Safety Ratings

As one of Ram’s most iconic pickup trucks, the Ram 1500 comes equipped with the latest safety features. These features have amassed the pickup numerous safety awards including a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. For driver-assist and safety features, the Ram 150 Firefighter Edition offers adaptive cruise control, forward collision alerts, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking.

  1. Special Discount

Another special feature of the 2022 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Firefighter Edition is the discount that Ram offers. In honor of first responders, Ram offers a $500 discount on select Ram trucks and vans for all law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMTs. Called the First Responder Incentive, this discount helps those who dedicate their lives to helping others find a Ram truck that meets their needs.

Ram to Debut Ram 1500 EV Concept at CES 2023

2024-ram-1500-bev-teaser-

Ram will unveil its all-new Ram 1500 EV concept at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Hosted annually by the Consumer Technology Association, the CES show brings the world’s biggest brands together to do business and share ideas. At the 2023 CES Show, Ram will finally unveil its concept art for the all-electric Ram 1500 pickup truck. Since introducing the Ram 1500 EV, the automaker has been touring the country to get ideas on the most desirable features in an EV truck. Teaser images have also been posted, and speculation about the truck’s performance has circulated. Consumers will get a firsthand look at the automaker’s plans for its first electric pickup truck, so we’ll see what they can expect at the 2023 CES.

Ram 1500 EV Will Be Revealed

Ram will be unveiling the concept art for the all-new Ram 1500 EV. The all-electric pickup truck will be the automaker’s first EV. Ram is hoping that it has gathered enough feedback through its Real Talk Tour for the perfect EV pickup. This tour consisted of conversations with truck owners around the country to gauge their opinion on what they would like to see in an EV pickup. From performance standards to battery range, Ram took it all into account. At the 2023 Consumers Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Ram will reveal its design concept for its Ram 1500 EV.

The 2024 Ram 1500 EV is set to provide a roadmap for Ram’s future EVs. The truck is set to feature a range extender which will grant it the highest battery range in the EV truck sector. The Ram EV will also be built on Stellantis’ architectural framework, which is reserved for larger trucks and SUVs. The Ram EV marks the beginning of the automaker’s 2030 green initiative, in which Ram hopes to deliver innovative vehicles that are clean, safe, and affordable. By 2025, the automaker aims to offer electric vehicles in a majority of its segments and, by 2030, all of its segments.

Alongside the Ram 1500 EV, Ram is working on a Ram ProMaster EV van. The automaker hopes to create a fleet of commercial electric vans to reduce carbon emissions. For now, all eyes will be on the Ram 1500 EV as it lays the foundation for future Ram EVs. Factors that truck owners care about include range, towing capacity, payload, and of course, charge time. Ram has the luxury of offering its first EV later than other automakers, but this extended time means expectations are high. As one of the top truck brands, we’re confident that Ram will surprise consumers with a highly capable and efficient EV.

2024 Ram 1500 EV Prototype Spotted

The 2024 Ram 1500 EV was recently spotted wrapped in camouflage. The all-electric pickup was seen being tested as it prepared for its official launch. Ram has been preparing to release its first electric vehicle with promotions and teaser trailers. While concept images have only been released, these recent spy shots give consumers a better idea of what to expect from the Ram 1500 EV. Ram is known for its high performance and capability as one of the most iconic truck brands. The same level of quality and capability is expected to be offered with the electric Ram. We’ll look at the spy shots and see what is expected from the 2024 Ram EV.

Spy Shots Reveal More About Ram 1500 EV

The all-new, all-electric 2024 Ram 1500 EV was recently spotted being tested. Wrapped in camouflage, the pickup truck appeared to be using the current Ram body. Ram is set to unveil the official concept work for the Ram EV in the next few months, but thanks to these spy shots, we have a better idea of what to expect from the electric pickup truck. For one, the Ram EV prototype looks to feature an independent rear suspension along with coil springs. A new chassis is also expected to accompany the Ram 1500 EV. This means the EV pickup will do away with the solid rear axle.

Another detail spotted from the spy shots was side sill extensions. These are meant to hide the battery under the floor. Along with this, the front fenders of the pickup were wrapped in camouflage, hinting that the charge door would be somewhere around there. The 2024 Ram 1500 EV will utilize Stellantis’ EV platform, which will hold between 101 and 118 kWh batteries. The electric pickup is expected to offer up to 500 miles of battery range. Charging speeds will supposedly be as high as 150 kW.

Another detail about the Ram EV prototype is that it had a long wheelbase, a crew cab configuration, and a 6-foot 4-inch truck bed. This could indicate that the Ram EV’s body and cab layout may be larger. It may also have a fastback rear pillar that flows into the truck bed. More information and the concept art for the 2024 Ram 1500 EV will be unveiled at the LA Auto Show in November (2022). Ram’s CEO Mike Koval Jr. has said that truck owners’ preferences would influence the Ram EV concept, so we’re excited to see what the automaker has in store. Until then, we’ll be staying tuned.
